CMIS is a main storage designed around survival building, incorporating a mix of simple and complex design principles in a fully featured system, optimized for:
- Sorting Speed (averages 55,000 items/hour)
- Efficiency
- Survival Friendly

The main components of this system include:
- Ideal Splitter
- Whitelister that separates Bulk, MIS, and Compactable Items, as well as distinguishing between partial and full boxes of each
- Compactor that compacts whitelistable, 9 to 1 recipes and stores partials of these items until a full box is produced
- Custom cartMIS slice, allows for boxed or loose item MIS storage, is fully parallelized, has overflow protection, and operates on a 32 gt clock
- BoxSorter bulk slices, with overflow going to remote bulk
- Auto or callable bulk restocking from remote
- Unstackable sorting
- Plus 6 other peripherals!
