And at this point, nothing in the Underground seems capable of stopping me.
After defeating Undyne the Undying and pushing deeper into the Underground, I finally reached one of the most anticipated moments of the Genocide Route...
Mettaton NEO stepped forward to challenge me.
He was supposed to be the Underground's last hope.
Instead... the battle was over before it even began.

The deeper I go down the Genocide Route, the more obvious it becomes that this isn't the same game anymore.
Characters are gone.
Entire areas feel abandoned.
The atmosphere grows darker with every encounter.
Eventually, I arrive at the Core and come face-to-face with Mettaton NEO.
This upgraded version of Mettaton stands in my way, determined to stop my rampage through the Underground.
But after everything I've done so far...
I've become far too powerful.
What should have been a major showdown turns into one of the most shocking moments in the entire Genocide Route.
The Underground is running out of heroes.
And the end is getting closer.
