Chaweng Beach 1987. Koh Samui, Thailand explorer 2009-08-23 | Drove around on a Bike (road was not paved all the way, lots of dirty roads). Don't remember all the names I've been but the beach on the video is the "Chaweng Beach" where we did stay. No electricity in our Bungalows (power only at night), no nightlife, bar, discos etc.

We took a Bus from Bangkok to Surat Thani (no airport yet) and later a boat to the Island. No electricity in our Bungalow !! However this time was great!

They were just "building" the beach road and Bangla Road. I believe we did stay at the Sea View Hotel, facing the sea for some150 Baht/night.

We walked on the Beach at night to Bazura Disco, I remember only 3 green lights where showing the way....
