One Year of Filmdeg Miniatures Filmdeg Miniatures 2024-08-24 | Today marks one year since I uploaded my first "proper" video - John Blanche chatting about some of his iconic Warhammer artwork. I thought I'd just post a small thank you video really - to all the people who've let me come film them talk about Warhammer, and to everyone who has watched, liked, commented, subscribed etc. The last 12 months have been awesome - I never thought I'd be doing anything like this. Its been really exciting to meet all these famous hobby names who shaped my childhood and their work continues to live rent free in my head, and to have a continued friendship with some of them has been really great.Ultimately, this YT channel is really just a way of facilitating this footage I film. I am just one man with a camera and trying my best, and certainly don't consider myself any kind of content creator or influencer or anything like that. I'm happy just doing what I'm doing, and hopefully can keep it up for a good while longer. Right now I still have a few videos to edit, and I also have some filming scheduled in for next month - including some new names to the channel which is always exciting.So that's about it really. City of the Damned! As a teenager I used to play a lot of Inquisitor, albeit a dumbed down version of the rules. I didn’t really “connect” with 40k as much as I did with Fantasy at the time, but Inquisitor was a chance to really explore that universe from a different angle. Coinciding with the game, Dan Abnett’s “Xenos” emphasised the grimdark and made me see things in a new light. So, chatting with John about his Inquisitor Sketchbook, and all the weird characters that populate the Imperium was really cool. I then got to hang out with Gav Thorpe, and hearing him talk so passionately about the game was a really awesome experience.
