It premiered in 1988 with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but it was shortly recalled and the audio reworked because theater owners were sending complaints of blown out speakers.This original mix, found and scanned by Team Negative One's lead restorationist, comes from a 70mm print with 6-Track magnetic audio. The Youtube upload of the trailer features a stereo mixdown of the raw audio, but a Dolby A decoded version of the audio was also provided.Because the Dolby 70mm 6-Track configuration, with its dual LFE channels, does not line up with any of the standard x.1 configurations of modern Surround Sound, I took the liberty of creating a 7.1 mix and a 5.1 mix, while also employing some filters and additional noise reduction to reverse the analog damage of the audio.This upload, with the 5.1 audio track muxed in the AAC format, should hopefully play in proper Surround Sound when viewed on a Smart TV.#THX #Film #FilmHistory @THXLtd
