This bag is pretty easy to make—kind of like sewing a tote bag with a “hat” on top! The trickiest part is the side pockets, but don’t worry—you can totally make it your own. Feel free to use simpler pockets or leave them out altogether.
You can also skip the bias tape on the flap and go with a simple flap cover, just like the original Hattie Bag.

DIY Multi Pocket Backpack

Miko Craft 2024-12-17 | Hello, first of all, this is not a complete tutorial. I made this bag to be used by myself. I wanted a bag that can fit my 15.5-inch laptop.
I am using my old pattern (link below). This is size LARGE, and the final result is height x length x depth = 44 x 34 x 14 cm.
I made few changes from the original pattern, I mentioned it in the video.
1. The 3D pocket (different style)
2. The side pockets (different style)
3. The zipper cover (removed)
4. The shoulder straps (different style)
5. The laptop pocket (add foam)
