Zweites Leben für Batterien aus Honda Hybrid- & E-Fahrzeugen Videos zur Elektromobilität 2020-05-01 | PM: Honda Motor Europe weitet seine Partnerschaft mit SNAM (Société Nouvelle d'Affinage des Métaux) zum Batterie-Recycling aus und ermöglicht damit eine nachhaltige Nutzung von Batterien über ihre eigentliche Lebensdauer hinaus. Die Vereinbarung sieht das europaweite Einsammeln und Wiederverwerten von Altbatterien vor, die zuvor in der wachsenden Palette der Honda Hybrid- und Elektrofahrzeuge zum Einsatz kamen. Die ausgedienten Batterien werden für ein „zweites Leben“ als Speichermedium für erneuerbare Energien vorbereitet; sollte diese Wiederverwendung nicht möglich sein, werden wertvolle Materialien aus den Batterien gewonnen und recycelt.Honda und SNAM arbeiten bereits seit 2013 gemeinsam an Lösungen zur Rückverfolgbarkeit und Entsorgung von Altbatterien im Einklang mit den Umweltstandards der Europäischen Union. Auf Basis der neuen Erweiterung wird SNAM künftig in 22 Ländern die Lithium-Ionen- und Nickel-Metallhydrid-Akkus bei Honda Händlern und autorisierten Verwertungsanlagen einsammeln und ihre Eignung für Recycling und Weiterverarbeitung prüfen.„Mit dem Ausbau unseres Portfolios an Hybrid- und Elektroautos und der stetig steigenden Nachfrage nach diesen Modellen wachsen natürlich auch die Anforderungen an uns, auf möglichst umweltschonende Weise mit den Altbatterien der Fahrzeuge umzugehen“, sagte Tom Gardner, Senior Vice President Honda Motor Europe. „Jüngste Marktentwicklungen ermöglichen es uns, diese Batterien über ihren ersten Lebenszyklus hinaus zur Stromversorgung von Unternehmen einzusetzen oder durch optimierte Recycling-Techniken wertvolle Rohstoffe zu gewinnen, die anschließend für die Produktion neuer Batterien genutzt werden können.“Für das Sammeln der gebrauchten Antriebsbatterien nutzt SNAM sichere und CO2-arme Transportmittel. Im Anschluss prüft und bewertet SNAM, welche Batteriepacks für die Verwendung in neuen Energiespeichergeräten geeignet sind. Diese werden dann von SNAM aufbereitet und für häusliche oder industrielle Anwendungen zur Verfügung gestellt.Falls Batteriezellen beschädigt und für eine Wiederverwertung ungeeignet sind, lassen sich aus ihnen Rohstoffe wie Kobalt oder Lithium extrahieren. Dazu werden bestimmte Verfahren der Hydrometallurgie unter Verwendung wässriger Lösungen angewendet. Die Rohstoffe können in der Produktion neuer Batterien, zur Herstellung von Farbpigmenten oder als Mörtelzusätze verwendet werden. Weitere Materialien wie Kupfer, Metall und Kunststoffe werden ebenfalls recycelt und vermarktet, um im Anschluss für die Herstellung verschiedener Produkte genutzt werden zu können.Über die Online-Plattform von SNAM haben Händler die Möglichkeit, das Abholen von Altbatterien für das weitere Recycling-Verfahren anzufordern. Das Einsammeln kann über zentrale Lagerzentren innerhalb von 15 Arbeitstagen erfolgen, was den Händlern die Lagerung von Batterien auf dem eigenen Gelände erspart. Die Vereinbarung zwischen Honda und SNAM bezieht sich auf große Antriebsbatterien aus Hybrid- und Elektrofahrzeugen, nicht auf die kleineren Batterien, die in Fahrzeugen mit Benzin- oder Dieselmotor für die Zündung zum Einsatz kommen.SNAM unterstützt die Bemühungen von Honda zur Umsetzung eines umweltbewussten Batterie-Designs, das eine nachhaltige Weiterverarbeitung der Batterien am Ende ihres Lebenszyklus garantiert.#Honda #SecondLife #eMobility
