CoroviiNo major mistakes, but this run is far from perfect. There were a lot of small mistakes and sloppy movement, especially in FD and Get a Clue. Sub 27 is definitely possible, but it'll require more risky strategies and more optimized movement. Overall, this run is mostly the same as the previous one, except that there are a few new strategies in the H2Olga fight, including a small cutscene skip and a way to skip most of the third section. Also, I apologize for the poor video quality. My capture card is ancient and needs to be replaced soon.

No major mistakes, but there were a few silly mistakes here and there.Get a Clue OOB routeCorovii2021-08-10 | About 8 seconds faster than inbounds route. Loading in this game is weird. You need to stand in specific spots to load the attic from the OOB lobby, and to load the boss room from the OOB room just before it. If you follow my path exactly the proper rooms will load.Pinball VickyCorovii2021-08-08 | This lets you skip the Gamma suit, and is way faster than using the jetpack. Very difficult strat, since if you miss any of the jumps, all of the buttons for the cycle become "unpushed." If executed well, this should save a good amount of time in All Levels. The Fairly OddParents: Shadow Showdown All Levels in 40:03 (without loads)Corovii2021-08-08 | -Ran on Dolphin -sloppy tutorial -got the H2Olga glider climb! -sloppy toolbox section in Dad's Dream -Skipped the Gamma suit, but lost ~2 minutes on Vicky fight using pinball-only strat. This run was pretty average for the most part. There weren't any major mistakes, but there were quite a few small, silly mistakes that cost quite a bit of time. A 43 is definitely possible. The most noteworthy change between this run and the previous all levels run is the use of the hover glitch to skip most of the ape level.Skip 75% of Great Esc-Ape - Hover GlitchCorovii2018-02-03 | Falling on the red "floaty things" messes up the game. It lets you walk on air, and if you press A, you rapidly float upwards. This can be abused to reach the top of the level very quickly. Secondly, it's possible to do a precise jump from the mouth of the ape statue to reach the other half of the level and hit the other banana. This saves a lot of time in All Levels.H2Olga SkipCorovii2018-02-03 | Credit to Zam for finding this! Saves about 15-20 seconds if done quickly.FOP: Hover Glitch and Great Esc-Ape OOBCorovii2017-09-15 | So apparently, if you get hit by the red "floaty things" in the middle of your second jump as you jump off the vines, after you die you store a glitch in which you rapidly float upwards infinitely. This glitch can only be cancelled by groundpounding. You can use this glitch to get on top of the ceiling in the next room and skip a small part of the level, saving a bit of time. Unfortunately, I have not been able to replicate this glitch anywhere else in the game. As of now, it seems to be specific to taking lethal damage on the vines on this level. However, if we could find a way to replicate this glitch in other areas, then it would be massively useful for speedrunning.FOP: Great Esc-Ape Floor 2 SkipCorovii2017-09-14 | This trick lets you skip the entire 2nd floor of this level, which saves about a minute. The vines in this level have some very weird properties. If you attempt to start “sprinting” on the very edge of the vines you gain a lot of backwards speed in the opposite direction that you hold the control stick. You can abuse this backwards speed to reach the normally unreachable ledge above.
To do this, sprint up the vines so that you “launch” a bit above them, then attempt to re-grab the vines on the very edge of the vines while holding down-left on the control stick.
Note that this trick is very inconsistent right now, but I’ll see if I can find a more consistent setup in the near future. The Fairly Oddparents: Shadow Showdown in 26:26 (WR)Corovii2017-09-13 | Pretty solid run overall. This run makes use of a few new tricks: block puzzle skip and freeze ray skip, which save a considerable amount of time in Take it on the Chin. The biggest mistakes were failing block puzzle skip once, and accidentally grabbing the sticker, which cost about 10 seconds combined. Also, there was some pretty sloppy movement in Fairly Disastrous, and some bad luck in Dad's Dream involving the platform cycles. I'm pretty happy with this run, so I think I'm going to move on to other categories until something new is found or someone beats it.FOP: Freeze Ray Skip setupCorovii2017-09-10 | Okay, so after a bunch of testing I found a semi-consistent way to do this trick with minimal rng.
The setup in the video only uses pogo bounces on the first two hippos. The nice thing about this is that the first two hippos are always in the same place, whereas the third hippo moves from side to side across the water.
You start this trick by sprinting and hugging the wall so that the hippos don’t see you until the last possible moment. Then once you reach the position shown in the video, you want to quickly release the sprint button and equip the pogo stick. You cannot equip wishes while sprinting. Then, approach the edge of the pool and jump to the far side of the first hippo, and from there, pogo bounce to the far end of the second hippo.
However, to be able to skip the third hippo altogether, you need to bounce on the second hippo from a relatively precise position. You want to be as far forward on the second hippo as possible without hitting the water. If you are too far back, you won’t get enough forward momentum to make it to the barrel.
Once you complete the second hippo bounce, as you are descending you are going to want to unequip the pogo stick in midair by holding L and pressing B. Doing this gives you a little extra distance. After unequipping the pogo stick, mash A. The sides of the barrel count as slopes, so if you happen to land on them you can simply jump onto the barrel.
Note that there is normally a cutscene that plays right before the position of the first pogo jump. You want to skip it as quickly as possible and walk a little bit forward to the position shown in the video.
If you do this trick fast enough, the first and second hippos will almost never attack you. The third hippo will shoot at you sometimes, but it’s usually possible to time your bounces so that it’s shot misses you.
Overall I’m about 75-80% consistent at this trick right now. It’s not too horrible, but definitely requires a bit of practice before you attempt it in runs.FOP: Ice Ray SkipCorovii2017-08-22 | this is the only major roadblock that prevents you from skipping the ice ray. This trick is really dumb, so unless a consistent setup is found i don't really this this is rta viable for now.FOP: Tutorial ClipCorovii2017-08-21 | You get stuck there and have to reset. Pretty decent run overall, but i choked at barrier 3 skip. 26 is very achievable. The Fairly Oddparents: Shadow Showdown Speedrun in 28:46Corovii2013-09-28 | EDIT: UPDATED WR HERE: youtube.com/watch?v=r5Ju6Puastg&feature=youtu.be
The biggest difference between this run and the previous run is a new trick that allows me to skip the last two levels, (Vicky Strikes Back and The Great-Esc-Ape) which saves about 20 minutes. There is also a new route in Dad's Dream that saves about 12 seconds. I will improve this run in the future, since this run still has quite a few mistakes. I think a 27 is possible with current tricks.
Timing starts from selecting "New Game" from the main menu Timing ends when you lose control of Timmy after the final boss
So yeah, This is a game that I have been working on for almost a year now, and I must say that after spending so much time testing and gradually breaking this game, I am pretty happy with the result. While this game isn't completely broken, (you can't skip any levels), there are still plenty of tricks and glitches in the game that allow it to be beaten pretty quickly.
I do intend to beat this time in the future, as there were a few rough patches in this run (especially in Dad's Dream and Vicky Strikes Back).
I'll even stream my attempts if you guys want me to :)
In my personal opinion, I think this game is fantastic for speedrunning. If anyone else wants to pick up this game, I would highly encourage it :)
-I used a route that is slightly different from the standard Any% route, which does pillar clip before Eldin tears and puts off leaning finishing blow until after 1st visit to Lanayru. I do this route so I can do pillar clip as soon as possible, (about 42 minutes in), because pillar clip frequently likes to kill my runs. I got it first try in this run though! :)
Biggest Mistakes: -Below average goats and wrestling (I can save like 30 seconds here) -Lost about 1:30 in Lakebed due to bad gameplay and an awful Morpheel fight, and had to get more water bombs in CiTS -Lost 1:00 in POT because of bad PZ RNG -Didn't do freezard skip
All in all though, I am really proud of this run! Next goal is 3:26!
