Support me on patreon, because apparently this got demonetized because youtube apparently no longer lets you make money off covers, even if I could clearly see that whatever company that has the rights is not even remotely close to being The Living Tombstone and I'm honestly just tired of this website's way of treating copyright. patreon.com/tommylapointeblondin
But yeah. Sorry for just kind of disapearing. I've just been doing so much more and with my programs shutting off and a new error hapening every time I tried to get started and demoralizing me, it was hard, but I really hope I'll have what it takes to keep going. Cheers, and I love you all.
Anyways, enjoy this song and these visuals I worked on while waiting for the final audio file. It might be a little more cursed than I expected. The artwork was made by me.

Basically during quarantine I lost my job and had to isolate like everyone else. Ever since a lot of my motivation kind of went out the window as I picked up other hobbies that took a lot more of my time, including speding way more time with my friends over Discord. One of the major things that has taken a lot of my free time is anime as both of my closest friend at the moment are huge weebs, and they introduced me to a whole lot of shows.
Add to this that I now have a new full time job that take about 12 hours of my time five days per week and is quite physically demanding and both my last upload doing rather poorly compared to the amount of effort I put in them and I am usually burned out on wanting to make music or demotivated, prefering to get over my other hobbies of video games, drawing or writing. It's been a cycle that I tried getting over of for the past four months and now I hope I'm coming back for good.
So I'm starting small with a song from -guess what- an anime that me and my friends have been watching, Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle. It's cute, it's hilarious and I've been listening to the OP on repeat for like a month, so I decided I would give it a shot and make it my own way. There is a full version of this song, but as I've never made any anime-related songs before I wanted to see all of your reactions before committing to a full OP, but I am hype to do more of those in the future as they've been a huge part of my life recently.

This is a song I've orchestrated for my father as he's always been a big fan of Metallica. He also loves piano, so I made sure to put a lot of it as well. I don't have much else to say about it, I don't really expect it to be much popular either as it's not really the type of music my audience listens to, but at least I know it made my father happy.

This song was written in 1874 by Camille Saint-Saëns and is meant to represent a little story where Death wake up the dead to dance with them for a night. It is full of symbolism and has all sorts of really cool things inside that let you follow the song. A quick example is how death was represented by the violin solo which starts off by "adjusting" itself in a series of tritone, which was commonly associated with dissonance, telling us that it is indeed Death itself (Or maybe even the Devil)
But I'm rambling. It's a really good song that barely feels like a classical song at time, and I struggled to find better version both in interpretation and sound quality than "that" version on Youtube that everyone, even my music teacher, refered to when talking about Danse Macabre, so I decided to give a try at remaking it myself.
Now of course nearly all of what you're hearing is digital like all the music I do, so there are some parts that took me hours to get right just because digital instruments don't sound as well as real ones, and I had to tune them a whole lot to even get what I got here. Even still I can hear some part that I can only hope could be better if I had access to either better programs or just real musicians. Still, having everything be digital does have some ups, like for instance I could add my own instruments that were not a part of the original song, like a bit more percussions, chimes, glockenspiel and a good old choir. And finally there is the addition of the cello solo.
The story behind that is quite simple : I didn't want to use digital instruments for the violin solo the song is built around just because I know for a fact that it would suck, so I went out and got some help from someone. That's where I met Tom and Jess, a duo of professional musician who made me an offer and recorded the violin solo of the song while adapting it for a violin/cello duo. Why? Well I like cello, and I had a duo to work with so I let them be free with their interpretation. While it does technically mess with the original meaning of the song as the solo is meant to represent Death leading the danse, I decided that for the sake of making this version both unique and sounding better it was worth sacrificing a bit of emaning while still educating you all on the original message so it's still not lost. Let's say that Life and Death decided to dance together for this version, alright?
Anyways, this is already way too long of a desciption. I'll let you enjoy this piece I've work hard on.
BIG THANKS to Tom and Jess for providing the violin and cello solo for this song. If you're interested in their services, don't be afraid to go check them out at fiverr.com/severnduo

The Castle Theme is actually one of my first songs that got me hooked into Mario music. Let’s just say I spent hundreds of hours playing NSMBW when I was younger so it was one of my favourite songs from the game. It was even one of the first songs I learned for piano, so I got a bit of a history with this theme. This orchestration essentially is what I feel when I hear the song.
Later on, I intend to make a quick video explaining my process behind making this song, as well as how you can make it yourself as well (a.k.a. a tutorial) so let’s hope that I can finally pull it off.

No but seriously I randomly decided to orchestrate this song a few days ago and now here it is. Since a lot of people have asked me to do a tutorial video on how I’m making my music, I decided to at least start somewhere by giving you a basic view of the MIDI I create when orchestrating.
Keep in mind that this is just an overview I did by exporting most tracks into one MIDI file and playing it through Synthesia. There is a lot of visual clutters in some part (which I definitely made worse through my editing because… well I don’t even know why I bothered so much with the visuals.) and sadly I couldn’t assign colors to instruments due to the way my MIDI was extracted. Eventually we will go further into the depths of orchestration, consider this an entree.

As said at the end of the video, I now offer commissions for those who are interested in having songs of theirs or simply songs they like orchestrated by me. I will still make free songs over time, with commissions being extra stuff I'll do at the same time.
One thing I did not say in the video, however, is that if you are interested in supporting me, but do not want too much commitement either from Patreon or through commissions, you can also just buy this song on Itune for a dollar, as a little one time donnation to help me do more of these.

A soft caress on my face,
Far away, I feel it
At the heart of night.
Ink is no longer enough,
I shall write of my tears if need be,
For only the Gods know,
A burden fills my heart.
Nothing but a Nightfeather at my window,
That is all that I ask for,
And shall my heart give up,
I would write with my blood,
The winds arise, the Storm’s Eye along,
A shadow upon the paper, my soul,
But only the Gods know,
The morning chant shall be the most beautiful of all »

Also yes I know it's a dead meme at this point, but when have I actually made a video at the time of it being relevant anyways right?
I haven't had much time since the holidays to work on anything, either through a lack of motivation or problems with my computer. I did, however, had some time to work onto a project with someone called Magpie. She reached out to me and asked me if I could help her with making music for her story, which is a dub of a comic she made. I've worked on two of the songs in it, alongside the trailer theme of the video and some themes for her characters, which is still going. For now, I'll leave you with all the links to this if you are interested. Give it a watch, it's really cool and took a lot of time and effort.

Symmetra is a hard-light architect who works for Vishkar corporation. Her boss, Sanjay Korpal, is a member of Talon's council, a terrorist organization, and he uses Symmetra to the organization's profit without her knowing.
Although Symmetra herself does not have malicious intents, her affiliations and her true motivations can sometimes be obscure, which is why this song of hers can sometime go into the nearly vilanous type while still remaining this magical and exotic feeling that she emits. I think Symmetra is one of the coolest characters lore-wise in Overwatch and this song's rather complicated and fast melody that can sometimes feel unatural is there to represent the nearly magical tone her powers have.
There weren't many good Symmetra artwork to use in video (at least 70% is nsfw rule 34 stuff) but I managed to find some good ones for this video, this one is by xAlternatiiveXD on Deviantart : deviantart.com/art/Symmetra-684734624

So as I said in the comment section of my Despacito remix, I really wanted to make this one because I actually enjoy Havana as a song and wanted to work on it. I'm honestly surprised to see that most people's reaction upon hearing that I wanted to remork was that they hated the song and wanted me to do it to make it bareable which, well, if it's your kick then so be it.
You can find the song on Spotify in my list of song labled "Epic Orchestra". I honestly don't know enough about Spotify to help you find it in any other ways.
If you guys really want to download it and don't want to do it yourself, I'll find a way to put it on Spotify.

I say "back" because my program had some problems that made it impossible for me to work on my music for the past two weeks. Yesterday i had some good folks helping me fix it and now I'm back in the race! So why not start where I last left off : some more Overwatch heroes getting songs and this time it's the big badass Doomfist, a.k.a. the Successor. This song is probably among the purest form of "true epicness" that I could get asside maybe from Armageddon or something, but still I had some fun working with powerful brass and choir to make this legendary figure stick out of the bunch. It is very intense with a touch of heroïsm to show the origin of the Doomfist title : once a hero of the Omnic Crisis turned into a dangerous warlord, utilizing the same weapon onto the city that it once protected.
This is the link to this artwork of Doomfist (slightly modified by me like I do for all my videos) : inhdw.com/wallpaper/9/doomfist-overwatch-923.jpg

For those who are not aware :
Amélie Lacroix is a ballet dancer who was abducted by a terrorist organisation only to be tortured and broken mentally and physically until she was turned into a cold emotionless killer that was then sent to kill her own husband. She now goes by the name of Widowmaker, referencing the black widow, a spider that kills its male partner after mating, thus the name of the song : "Spider"

Now this version is based on Loituma's cover of the song, not the vocaloid version that you may be more used too, like my friend was. This version is the one from the leekspin video (the old meme) And I will probably but a version with the original version mashed-up with this version to show of the song was made and how I arranged it.
