http://www.digitalPimple.com http://www.diyinventor.comMy Review of Nikon CoolPix Cameras - A Love StorydigitalPimple2013-09-08 | My full opinion of the entire CoolPix line of digital cameras after owning various models. The CoolPix Camera shown: http://goo.gl/LuvxUv
In response to this video: After owning appox 4 of these various $100-$150 Cool Pix cameras I've had enough with the constant problems. I figured at this price range, it was to be somewhat expected but when this one began having lens issue too ... well..
2 of the 4 suffered after 3-6 months from "Lens error". The lens jams when turning on or off and errors out. For months I had to "HELP" it close to avoid the issue. The flash charge on these cameras suck. For $120, you should not have to wait sometimes 10 secs for the camera to take a picture as the flash prepares itself. Other times it may decide to work after 2 seconds. The flash also saturates the subject far too much creating a horrible image. I ended up NEVER using the flash even when I really needed too.
The AF works just OK and is slow.
The flash sensors (full auto) in full studio lighting never work correctly and flash in even in daylight messing up your shot. This is highly annoying.
Battery life sucks unless you buy premium camera batteries and then it's still not much better. Zero image stabilization; good luck taking a photo and not getting a blur. You end up having to take multiple shots killing the moment.
Video: 720p but no wide angle at all. You hit a button to change over to video and it begins recording immediately. This is a problem. When you set the shot up you are in camera mode. When you hit the video record, it changes modes and tightens and zooms the shot A LOT. Completely annoying.
If you need a point and shoot these are a waste of money. For YouTube videos? GOOD LUCK.
IMHO

http://www.digitalPimple.com http://www.diyinventor.comGE Refrigerator - Ice Maker Not Making Ice - Easy Fix and Repair (DIY)digitalPimple2013-05-15 | How to fix your GE Refrigerator if it stops making ice. Easy quick Ice Maker fix if your ice tray suddenly stops filling. Check for this issue before going forward and assuming the worst. Hope this helps others out there that have the same issue.
I'm not an appliance repair man but came across a few people with the same issue. After fixing it the ice is once again filling great. This fridge is about 5-6 years old.
UPDATE: If you notice that this happens again after this fix and you are noticing ice build-up in your freezer you need to replace your freezers defrost heater. It is located behind the rear panel inside the freezer section. Easy to remove. Look for some screws around the panels edge. The heater is a glass tube about 10" long located near the lower half, with a heating 'wire'-element inside. It will look burnout. Mine did. Simply cut the wires leading to it and snap in the new replacement. Strip and twist the lead wires back and done. Approx $30-$40 part and 20 minutes work. I did this myself and purchased the GE parts on Amazon. The parts I used are in the links below but please double check your model. While you're in there it's a good time to replace the small thermostat sensor too but this is not required.
After the fix in this video and later on replacing the parts in the links above I have yet to experience any problems with my fridge again. Completely like new. Cold drinks for all and no more ice build up!!!!
http://www.diyinventor.comHow To Fix/Restore Faded Car Trim, Bumpers and Plastics (DIY) - Cheap-Fast-Nice-QuickdigitalPimple2013-05-09 | Fix your faded and greyed out car trim & bumpers at home without a heat gun or special bumper products that don't work. This will last years and the results can take lots of abuse. This is the absolute best way I found to restore your old cars plastics. Nothing I tried ever came close. This is quick, fast, cheap and very easy. I have been doing it this way for years now.
This car is for a college student. When done I should have this thing looking nearly new for next to nothing.
A neighbor saw me doing this and could not believe the results. Said it looks brand new and is going to do it to his older car next weekend. Sorry for sloppy video, just did this very quick.
Enjoy
