Loki10. Something EvilHere's one of the top rarities of US metal and one of the mysteries that was recently solved as usually the collectors that know some information don't want to make it public. This band was from Dayton, Ohio and had a very short life recording only this home made LP in a bedroom converted as a studio! They probably made this record for themselves and some friends as the effort is quite amateurish. Musically is not bad and I would say that songs like "Loki" have a strange psych feeling but nobody can say this LP is a killer! Overall it's a nice addition to any collection if you don't sell your house to buy it but you know that top rarities and editions of 100 copies (e.g. MILITIA, AMETHYST, LIQUID EARTH etc.) easily surpass $1000.

I wonder why it was booked down in South London instead of Camden Town which is where most shows happen. It deserved a better place than this one. Besides, air condioning couldn’t freshen up the air sufficiently and it was super hot inside. They played classics from the first 4 records such as Violence and Force, Die in the Night, Black Witch, Long Live the Loud, Break Down the Walls and many others... By the end of this great set, Beehler was exhausted and melting away. Nevertheless, he’s doing excellently good for his 57 years old! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Thank you Exciter, powerful show!

The guitars are ultra melodic, the solos are excellently executed, the chorus is catchy and the song is quite aggressive. This title is a real success in the image of this album simply exceptional. "Living road" is a little in the same spirit with a side a little more rock. This title is catchy and is cut for the stage, proof is this passage taking up the chorus embellished with warrior choruses. After these two brulots, we reach ecstasy with the excellent and melodic "Guernica" and his Hispanic guitar. This title is a real hit in power. The"I do not dream" is the title I prefer on this album. The intro is terrible with this part of bass boosted. Very aggressive, this title (a little less than 3 minutes) supported by incisive guitars, cardboard and sincerely I love. A must on this album !!! "Blues'N'lace" is a moment of respite on this album and frankly remembers the band SWEET LIPS. This piece is tinged with blues with some harmonica touches. Really nice !!! The second part of the album starts again with always very energetic and melodic songs: "After me the deluge" and his guitar flights, the formidable and speedy "Distance horizon", or the thundering "Welcome".Finally, the album ends brilliantly with the "false ballad" that is the superb "Sacred feeling", catchy wish.

The band's lone album, 1983's Guilty as Charged, was an anomaly in the Shrapnel Records catalog for offering technical proficiency without getting bogged down in uncontrolled shredding. Rather, it forged an inventive yet disciplined brand of American heavy metal that was perhaps even more notable for containing meaningful, real-world, and surprisingly embarrassment-free lyrics. In fact, one has to wonder if the then still Dungeons & Dragons-toting Queensrÿche didn't take note of Culprit's more lucid approach further down the road, since Guilty as Charged feels in many ways like a rough draft of Operation: Mindcrime. All conjecture aside, and even more unusual as compared to their average labelmates' guitar-first philosophy, Culprit songs like "Steel to Blood," "Ambush," and "Same to You" boasted extremely memorable, singalong choruses to go with their disciplined instrumental foundations. And were it not for another one of Shrapnel house producer Mike Varney's typically deficient production efforts, this album (and particularly highlights such as the title track, "I Am," and the awesome "Tears of Repentance") might have had a better shot at achieving mainstream success. As it stands, Guilty as Charged remains a lost gem of American metal from the 1980's, and well worth seeking out for fans of other bands from the period. You would think that this soul ripper were released in the heyday of Swedish death metal, 20 years ago, when the entire underground shook with bands like At The Gates and Entombed. In my opinion a gem of an album and It happens to be my favourite King Diamond album! Musically, this album is full-out progressive metal, richly layered with keyboards and acoustic guitars.
