The National Residents Association (NRA) was founded in 2022 by a group of concerned men and women from across the United Kingdom. Its purpose is simple yet vital: to create a united national body dedicated to researching, supporting, and defending our local and national communities.
Sandi Adams spoke with Cassie, who has led this initiative since its inception. She explains that Residents Associations are among the most effective tools available to local people — especially when councils fail to represent the interests of their constituents.
Through organised, lawful action, residents can collectively oppose harmful planning applications such as solar and wind farms, data centres, battery storage facilities, and 5G towers —developments that are increasingly being shown to damage both the environment and the fabric of our communities.
The NRA empowers communities by providing structure, information, and strength in numbers. It protects the individual campaigner by turning solitary effort into a shared movement. The Association’s vision is to restore hope, trust, and accountability — core values that are essential to public confidence in local governance.
The NRA’s manifesto is to:
Inform communities across the UK where active Residents Associations exist,
Educate the public on issues that may not be fully or widely understood, and
Equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to hold councils and decision-makers to account.
A central part of the Association’s mission is to scrutinise how public money is spent — to ask the hard questions about funding, priorities, and the real impact of those decisions on local services. This ensures that laws are upheld, transparency is maintained, and public confidence is strengthened.
True equality, the NRA believes, can only be achieved when every local resident is fully informed about the changes that may affect their livelihoods and environment.
Ultimately, the NRA exists to bridge the gap between local people and national policy — to reconnect living men and women with the democratic processes that shape their daily lives, and to ensure that power remains where it belongs: with the people.

Neil Oliver: Remembering What It Means To Be Human

UK Column 2025-11-07 | Sandi Adams’ recent conversation with Neil Oliver, was far more than an interview. It was a deep and moving exploration of what it means to remain human in an age that seems determined to erase our humanity.
Since his stark awakening in 2020, Neil has been a voice of conscience in a time of mass conformity. For him, the realisation was both devastating and liberating: the recognition that truth now comes at a price, and that freedom requires not only courage but a willingness to stand alone.
A historian at heart, Neil’s love of the British Isles — their stories, landscapes, and people — runs deep. That love, he said, is what first drew him to history: the sense of continuity, of shared identity, of the ordinary human striving that binds generations together. Yet it was also that love which made his estrangement from mainstream media and public life all the more painful. Refusing to bend to political or ideological pressure, particularly his rejection of SNP nationalism, came at a cost. He found himself ostracised by colleagues, shunned by institutions, and cast out from the comfortable world he once inhabited.
And yet, he carries that exile not as a wound, but as a form of initiation. He spoke of solitude as both a burden and a gift — a space in which he has come to rediscover what truly matters. Away from the noise of the media machine, he has learned to listen again: to nature, to the voices of ancestors, and to the quiet but persistent call of truth.
Our conversation turned toward the larger currents shaping this era, the role of the royal family, the advance of technocracy, the seductive promises of transhumanism, and the steady erosion of what it means to be human. Neil described the “anti-human agenda” not merely as a political project, but as a spiritual one — a campaign to separate us from our instincts, our communities, and our sense of the sacred.
How, then, do we transcend this? His answer was disarmingly simple: by remembering. By remembering what we love, who we are, and what it means to be alive. They may take everything, but they can't digitise the human soul; it's quiet faith that sustains people when all else falls apart.
