It is set primarily in a parallel universe, through a constructed portal in the titular Lighthouse, made by a pretty crazy scientist living there. We are to rescue his infant daughter, kidnapped by The Dark Being who came through the portal, and went right back into it. It was published in September 1996, for Windows 95/3.1 and MS DOS. According to the Player's diary, he or she (the character's gender is never explicitly defined) is a struggling writer who has just moved in, and recently met their eccentric next door neighbor, Dr. Jeremiah Krick, and his daughter Amanda, who live in a nearby lighthouse. Glancing out of the window, the Player sees the lighthouse struck by lightning and then begin to glow strangely. On the Player's answering machine, Dr. Krick has left a frantic message begging the player to come over to his house and watch Amanda.Upon arriving at Dr. Krick's house, the player discovers the front door locked, darkness inside, and silence. After turning on the power and entering, the Player finds Amanda in her crib, alone. Once the Player has explored the house, a snap is heard, and Amanda begins crying. When the Player enters her room, the "Dark Being", described in Dr. Krick's journal, takes Amanda, and jumps through a portal. At this point, the Player can either follow him through or use Dr. Krick's laboratory to construct their own portal. Either way, the Player ends up on a rocky beach in a parallel world. It received a 2019 remaster, and a 2026 remake (that I've played and released on this channel already). It was developed by Trilobyte, and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment, in April 1993, for MS DOS. Here it was played on SCUMMVM, latest version for June 2024, when this was recorded. Better and cleaner upscaling chosen, and OpenGL as a renderer. *Recorded in upscaled 4K60 for some reason, no idea why I would do that X D. This is full of FMV movies and pre-rendered backgrounds at extremely low resolutions, so there is no point in upscaling really. Sci-fi stuff happens, and you're off to figure out what's happening around this house. It was developed by Runecraft and published by Interplay Entertainment, in December 1999 for the PC. This was played I believe on a 2003 retro laptop, with Intel Celeron M, 512 MB Ram, and Intel GMA 900. Though it was recorded over 2 years ago and I don't remember anything from this game. It so happens that the Sootchime church had atomb underneath it that got disconnected from it about a century agoafter an earthquake, and that this tomb reportedly contains the manuscriptof a prayer book buried with its author, now considered a saint. Thisprayer book is widely available now through printed and manuscript copies,but obtaining the original should be very lucrative. Since getting to thetomb through the church hasn’t been possible for so long, it appears myway there is through these burrick tunnels.My first task is to make my way to Blexham Manor that lies to the south,down the hill. Sootchime District’s elevation is pretty steep but the canalscan provide a fast way to get there as long as I don’t get dashed to bitsby the waterfalls. Arx Fatalis | Xbox | 4K60* | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough Good Ending No Commentary Ermacgerd 2026-07-30 | Longplay of Arx Fatalis, a Dark-fantasy FPP-RPG with Immersive Sim elements, a debute for the Arkane Studios, later known for Dishonored series and Dark Messiah of M&M. It was released in June 2002 for the PC, and in December 2003 for the OG Xbox. This here is a xemu-emulated OG Xbox version of the game, running at 5-6x internal resolution (something like 3840x2560 or 3200x2400), and at an unlocked framerate, but it was mostly "variable" here, not sure if it's the emulation being accurate, or my PC not performant enough, lol. xemu version was the latest nightly as of November 2025. Recorded at 4K60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.Good Ending obtained, this time I did not just ignore the uhmmm... potential allies of the Kingdom, but actively helped them. And got laid in return, hehehe. But the real Ending itself is the same whatever you choose.No chair exploit right outside of the first jail cell this time, this run is fully legit xD.*it's supposed to be 4K, but apparently xemu has issues, exclusive full-screen and borderless windowed present two different image quality variants, one looking pretty much like 4K and upscaled with point scaling (exclusive), and the other one... like it's much below, and very soft. Weird stuff tbf. Oh, and there were like 3-4 crashes, but overall, Arx Fatalis is fully playable on xemu, no real issues.This version has two combat difficulty options, Easy and Normal. I think I chose Easy, but I can't even confirm it now on the video, I just pressed either X or A, no idea which xD. Halo: Campaign Evolved | Xbox Series X in Performance Mode | Full Walkthrough Ermacgerd 2026-07-24 | #giftedbyxbox Longplay of Halo: Campaign Evolved, the newly released remake of the singleplayer portion of Halo: Combat Evolved from 2001. It was developed by new Halo Studios on Unreal Engine 5 (unfortunate choice), and published by Xbox Game Studios on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5 on 23/07/2026 in Early Access. This here is the Xbox Series X version of the game, running in its performance mode. Recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.Don't know what some folks are seeing and reporting online, but to me it is running clearly at 720p-900p internally, upscaled to something much higher like 1440p/1800p, and it SHOWS. It is far too low, and FSR2/3 was never designed, and should never be used for, low resolutions like this. Noise, extreme noise on textures, shadows, water, grainy lighting, it's all there, the signs of an extreme upscaling, unfortunately.Cutscenes run at 30 fps, and start stuttering/juddering heavily after like a minute of a cutscene, or something like that. It was clear to me there is something wrong happening.Performance? Something also clearly wrong with the game's V-sync. My VRR was non-functional during play this, and there was nothing wrong in my Xbox's dashboard. Meaning - broken VRR. Performance itself tho - at times it was pretty... messy. On average I think it did run at 50-60 fps on average, which is... suboptimal, could've been better. It is in NO WAY constant 60 fps all the time, as this game's V-sync/VRR is broken, and it was clear to my own eyes I'm seeing massive stutters and slowdowns.===============Halo: Campaign Evolved is a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved's (2001) campaign, featuring redesigned missions with alterations to the level design and structure, along with new movement options and mechanics that reflect subsequent gameplay updates made in Combat Evolved's various sequels. This includes the ability to sprint, which is enabled by default but can be toggled in-game for a more faithful experience. This here was played on the original Xbox 360 Jasper hardware, played at 1080p60 display mode, recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.Played on Normal since ohmaygaaaaaaad this is indeed the most difficult game in the entire series except for Halo 5. So many deaths here.====================After fleeing the Covenant's destruction of the human world Reach, the human ship Pillar of Autumn makes a random slipspace jump to avoid leading the Covenant to Earth. Arriving in uncharted space, the Autumn crew discover a massive ringworld orbiting a gas giant. When the Covenant attack, Autumn's captain, Jacob Keyes, entrusts the ship's artificial intelligence, Cortana—and her knowledge of defense deployments and the location of Earth—to the supersoldier known as the Master Chief for safekeeping. Darksiders III | TPP Metroidvania | 1440p60 | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary Ermacgerd 2026-07-05 | Longplay of Darksiders III, third game in the series, taking place in parallel to the second Darksiders game and before Darksiders II, following Fury, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It was developed by Gunfire Games, formerly Crytek USA. It was released in November 2018 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. This here is the PC Steam version of the game, running at native 2560x1440 resolution (Unreal Engine 4 but has no scaling/DLSS options), at all Epic settings, highest basically (except for Shadows on High). Recorded at 1440p60 H.265 HEVC via OBS.It is one of the worst performing Unreal Engine 4 games I've played in my life. Although I did play on Epic settings, the game has massive optimization issues, stutters, and big chugging when any complex effects appear on the screen. Would DLSS/FSR help out here? They task her with hunting down the Seven Deadly Sins, which have escaped imprisonment and assign her a Watcher to ensure she fulfills her task.Upon arriving on the war-torn, post-apocalyptic Earth, Fury encounters and defeats the first of the Sins, Envy.
