Mental Amanda 2026-08-27 | My teenage son has been begging me to listen to Zombie by The Cranberries, and somehow I'd never sat down and listened to it before (though I knew OF it and it sounds familiar so I may have heard it in passing). I'm glad he kept pushing me to it. Dolores O'Riordan's voice is so unique and haunting, and the emotion in this song completely caught me off guard. This is definitely one that's going to stick with me.

From anti-intellectualism and viral misinformation to influencer insanity, consumer culture, politics and our addiction to algorithms, many of the film's predictions came true. But the scariest part? Idiocracy may have underestimated us. And this isn't a partisan problem. You can't blame this on Trump, Biden, Kamala, Obama or any other politician. Mental Amanda 2026-06-17 | I got fired from not one, but two crisis lines for refusing to follow the approved script when lives were on the line. Before anyone comes for me, this isn't an attack on crisis lines or the people who volunteer for them. Many genuinely care. But after being both a caller and a volunteer, I started questioning whether some of the scripted responses we rely on are actually helping people in their darkest moments. In this video, I share the real calls that got me let go, why I chose human connection over protocol and why I believe pain doesn't follow a script. I'd love to hear your experiences.
