Beauty and the Beast Official US Teaser Trailer Recreated in Fallout 4 (Mods!)
updated
This Half-Life: Alyx mod (Half-Life: Alyx Levitation) ruined my life, and traumatized me so bad even my future children will be affected.
Here is the mod, it's great: steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2881604879
This is a new series idea for me, these are easier and faster to make so I can make more videos! I'll try this style for the next few videos I think.

I'M BACK WITH MORE HALF-LIFE.
Everyone seemed to enjoy Alyx, so I've forced my way to do another Half-Life VR video. Now we just need Half-Life 1 to be remade in VR. And we can complete the triforce.
The next major video will be Fallout: New Vegas, but based on how this one does I will review Half-Life 1/Black Mesa pretty soon. Regardless of if it is put into VR!

This is part 1 in a 2 part series where I review some episodes of Star Trek, this one is on The Next Generation, while part 2 will be on Star Trek: Voyager! I plan to do Star Trek: Deep Space 9 and Star Trek The Original Series in a 2 parter in the future. But if I actually will is debatable.
Enjoy!

Fallout 3 is one of my favourite games from my YOUTH. It still holds up, which is enough given how old it is, but I think even for the time it messed a few things up.
My current plan now is to do all the major Fallout games, so all that is left is Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, and maybe some other stragglers. This will take me years.

I’m sorry did you say the Outer Wilds or The Outer Worlds?
Welcome to my review of the space themed exploration game the Outer WILDS. A video game with possibly the best story of all time but with gameplay that mixes between the best experience of your life and literally being sucked into a black hole over and over for 3 hours.
I reviewing space video games so Outer Wilds was a bit of a personal guilty pleasure to review. PLEASE ENJOYYYY

Coffee is my favorite drink. I recently began being able to drink more than one cup of coffee a day without the world starting to spin, but it’s a risky process.
Either way, join me in discovering why coffee is an absolute nightmare. This video discusses the history and geography of coffee, then the growing and processing, then its effect on the body, and finally stuff you can do to make your coffee drinking more ethical.
I am bad at writing sentences, maybe I need to drink more coffee.. Or less.

Fallout 3 is one of my favourite games from my YOUTH. It still holds up, which is enough given how old it is, but I think even for the time it messed a few things up. I also feel like Fallout: New Vegas kind of tainted it a little by showing us how Fallout really should have been done.
My current plan now is to do the Fallout 3 DLC, a secret extra Fallout 3 video, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, and maybe some other stragglers. This will take me years.
I then might do the Metroid series, I plan on doing it, it just depends if I will do it next. In between these videos I have some science and history videos in the works I will likely do: Game video, science video, game video, science, and so on.

There are a lot of tier lists on YouTube, and I am yet to see one done on pickles (maybe that is a sign I shouldn't have done this...). Since my YouTube channel has no discernible theme I thought a tier list would only add to the charm.

Fallout is back again! This time with Fallout 2. I have a feeling people are going to be mad at me this month…
I’ve actually played through Fallout 2 twice now and both times couldn’t get into it. It is a lot more like the modern games in the Fallout series but after making this review I realised that it just has too much text for me. Fallout 2 is also so long that the interface really starts becoming a problem.
As a reminder my current plan now is to do Fallout 3, Fallout 3 DLC, a secret extra Fallout 3 video, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Fallout 4 VR mods. This will take me years.

I really l hope you enjoy this new style of video! I am very anxious about everyone’s thoughts. All in all this is a million subscriber video, a “Stardew Is A Nightmare” game review, and a satirical view on Google and YouTube as a whole.
OKAY so I don’t talk a lot about Stardew Valley exactly. I actually had pretty lofty goals from the start, I wanted to compare the Joja corporation in Stardew Valley to Google, drawing analogues from that to my life, while also reviewing the game. But I had to say COME ON MATT keep it simple for the first of these videos.
Overall though new style is easier to make too, I started with a Stardew Valley review to keep it simple but I have filmed my next video too (a Fallout 1 review) which will be out by the end of the month. I’ve also written two other videos, including a Fallout 2 review next. This new style will hopefully let me reach my goal of monthly review videos I have been trying to achieve for a while.
Special thank you to my members!

So. What is Climate Change? Do you know the facts? No?
Well I personally had no idea. One day it just hit me, I knew very little about climate change. Even with a useless degree in chemistry, climate change is a confusing mess of strange and difficult to understand information.
I made this video to gather all the facts I could find about climate change, in a fun way, and without any bias on my part. I wanted anyone who watched this video (and myself too!) to understand all the important facts relating to climate change. Non-scientists welcome.
Science is exciting! It’s just school and most of our education systems aren’t…
In a few months this video will be uploaded as to remove any language or scenes not suitable for schools, so it can be used to teach about climate change in schools.

Hitman 3 is finally here, and with it comes a VR version. So my hands are tied and I must review it! This VR version is not on steam currently by the way, it is only on PSVR.
So I must dust off my totally not useless PS4 and buy a PSVR which apparently doesn’t even come with wireless controllers even though it’s a VR console! Anyway...
When I heard Hitman 2 was getting a VR version I actually thought they meant Silent Assassin because I am an idiot. All 3 of this new trilogy can be played in VR using the PS4 and PSVR but I only played and reviewed Hitman 3 VR for this video.
Overall Hitman 3 is a good but slightly pricey game, Hitman 3 PSVR I would say is a bad game that comes free with it. So Hitman VR it’s definitely worth trying, but it won’t knock your socks off.
I may move away from VR for a while after this review, my hopes are to do Fallout Is A Nightmare but cover all of those games.

Ah, Cyberpunk 2077, the worlds least controversial video game. In the making for nearly a decade it is finally here and oh boy, is it an absolute nightmare. In this video I talk at length about CD Projekt Red, The Witcher 3, triple A gaming as a whole, and of course Cyberpunk 2077 at length.
Generally I think of Cyberpunk 2077 pretty positively, as a video game it tries to do too much and some areas fall flat, but generally I can ignore this stuff and focus on the games main story, which is where I think CD Projekt Red did their game proud.
Although I liked Cyberpunk 2077 I ended up focusing mostly on it’s negatives in this video, the series is called “absolute nightmare” after all. This wasn’t entirely intentional, it’s just Cyberpunk 2077 is such a big game that was rushed out there is a lot of issues to find.
The Cyberpunk 2077 style mask I wear was made by my friend Sam Hoile. It fits the games mood perfectly so I hope you all liked it! All the Cyberpunk 2077 glitch style editing was just done by me using stock footage and jumpcuts.
My stream will be on the 6th of Febuary, 11am UK time. Current invited guests are RT Game, NerdCubed, Caddicarus, HBomberGuy, ManyATrueNerd, TheSpiffingBrit. Some are still to confirm!

IT’S CHRISTMAS AGAIN and 2020 is almost over. SO sit back and relax while we review all the Christmas themed VR games I could find.
I reviewed almost all the VR games that were about Christmas only last year, and almost no new ones were made, I hope I wasn’t responsible… So instead I looked to all my other VR headsets for Christmas themed VR games. We cover the Oculus Quest 2, the Vive, the Index, The Rift and I played some VR phone games… but they were terrible.
The Rift had a number of Christmas themed VR games that I played but didn’t review in this video, simply because they were terrible.
Anyway. Merry Christmas and happy holidays. Enjoy my Christmas themed VR bonanza.

I know a lot of musicians, so we decided to try and make a new series where we arrange and perform classic (and new) video game themes, music or soundtracks.
Following my Banjo Kazooie charity live-stream I thought it would be good to start with it’s theme. We had 18 or so incredibly talented musicians on the day, all performing. We did about 8 full run-throughs of the Banjo Kazooie theme with 2 cameras filming. A lot of music.
Honestly I don’t think there is a harder soundtrack to perform than the Banjo Kazooie theme so we started big. The next video game we’d like to try would be Fall Guys or another Nintendo soundtrack, some high energy music to keep us moving.
We’d love to make this a regular series where every month we do a different video game theme or soundtrack, it is all down to how much you guys want more of these music videos!

This month I review Minecraft VR as a Halloween video, and surprise surprise it’s an absolute nightmare and this is why. I will say though Minecraft VR this is now one of my favourite VR games, so take the criticism with some salt, it’s really fun.
I felt my channel was moving away from VR too much, and what way to bring it back than with Minecraft VR, probably the most popular game you can play in VR. To be honest I pandered a bit with this one. I tried to make it like my Skyrim VR review. SO the first thing I did was sit down and make a list of all the things that make me think of Minecraft. Creepers, TNT, Lava, Mods, and covered them all in detail as the video goes on.
Making this Minecraft VR review was in fact though an absolute nightmare, I really over did the number of edits and scenes required. Basically, I hope you really like it.

Ah Mario Maker 2, the ruiner of worlds. This is a sequel to the first part of a video review I did of Mario Maker 2. It was called Mario Maker 2 Is An Absolute Nightmare – This Is Why. I made this second part it because of the 7000 comments I got asking where my review of Mario Maker 2 was. You won. You better be happy.
Mario Maker 2 came out on the Switch over a year ago, so who knows why you wanted it. In all seriousness though I really did want to finish this Mario Maker 2 review. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t want to. I actually started out making this Mario Maker 2 review in a really chill way. But like all my videos I got really serious and worked super hard on it and added musical numbers and animations.

I return to review VR games again, and what better virtual reality game to review than Valve’s Half Life: Alyx. No major story spoilers but I talk about Half Life: Alyx’s gameplay at length.
Virtual Reality finally has a game I think most can agree is a great game that has been made excellent in VR. I may not be a Half Life fan as such, but I have played Half Life 1 and 2, and Half Life: Alyx has made me fall in love with the series.
Half Life Alyx is without a doubt the best virtual reality game I have ever played, I compare it a lot to Boneworks and The Walking Dead: Saint and Sinners because I think it highlights where those games missed the mark a little, and what future games need to try and do to make VR really take off as a platform.
I played Half Life: Alyx on the Index, but it seems to play just as well on the Vive. I would recommend the Index version as the Index has the best virtual Reality controllers I have used so far.
Anyway, that’s enough of me talking about VR, go get Half Life: Alyx if you can!

This week I take my changes at doing carpentry, and of course, it turns out to be an absolute nightmare. I’d just like to make it clear the video I am watching to make this bookcase is amazing, no shade to Eddie, I picked his video because I think it’s amazing.

In this week's video I am parodying those MasterClass Trailer videos. I have watched almost all the MasterClass trailers and have seen a bit of a pattern for how MasterClass lay them out. I thought it would be fun to parody them. I most enjoyed the Penn and Teller and Gordon Ramsay MasterClass trailers, and this is heavily inspired by them.
Oh this? It's just my AMAZING Patreon: patreon.com/UpIsNotJump
This is by no means making fun of MasterClass, iI think thier trailers are some of the best videos online, they are entertaining, engaging and well edited. I tried to use a blend of classical music and title screens to properly emulate the feel you get from these MasterClass Trailers. Hopefully it comes across.
The other goal was to be entirely satirical of YouTube, everything I say is a joke or sarcastic, to add a twist to the heavily serious and well thought out trailers that MasterClass produce.

I am going to continue to make live videos like this for a while, I will move away from cooking shortly of course because there is more to life than Gordon Ramsay videos. Perhaps carpentry next. I have wanted to take on a cooking video for a while, but I gotta stay fresh.

I hope you all enjoy this new style of video, feel free yo leave in the comments things I can do other than cooking along with Gordon Ramsay and it’s likely I will try it. The souffle honestly turned out pretty good, it didn’t rise because unlike Gordon Ramsay, my ramekins were enormous.
Excuse my terrible Cosplay as Gordon Ramsay, there aren’t many wigs online that are similar to his hair so I just kinda freestyle it.
I’ll be taking a break from games until Half Life Alyx comes out. Ideally uintil then I will be making videos a bit more regularly, but we shall see ;)

Skyrim VR had none of the problems Fallout 4 VR had on release, I discuss all the things in Skyrim VR that are an absolute nightmare but overall it vastly improves Skyrim vanilla and Bethesda did a great job. I do feela few things were missing from the release of Skyrim VR but these can easily be fixed with a few mods, I consider modding Skyrim VR an absolute necessity , without it perhaps Skyrim VR really is an absolute nightmare…
If you enjoy my ‘This Is Why’ series please do let me know what you like and what I should do more of, I will eventually move away from VR for a little while and start doing commentary on gameplay, it will just be me having highly edited adventures, I won’t let the quality drop.

I have wanted to take on a cooking video for a while, so here is: Cooking With Gordon Ramsay Is An Absolute Nightmare, and This Is Why. This is a little less of a “how to” cooking video as opposed to a sketch show with Gordon Ramsay and cooking mixed in occasionally.
I threatened that I would do this when I did “the joy of painting” is an absolute nightmare and here it is! Gordon Ramsay is a little more excitable, although his recipes are pretty amazing.

I actually filmed this as a Christmas video, thus the Christmassy beef wellington, but this cooking video is hardly a “how to” so I don’t think it would lead you successfully recreating a Gordon Ramsay dish. It’s also not very Christmassy, given how much I dress up as Gordon Ramsay and swear.
I enjoy cooking so thought I would be more successful cooking a Gordon Ramsay dish, than painting a Bob Ross painting, but including all the jokes, and cooking the wellington, turned out to be an absolute nightmare, and this is why!
I have another “cooking with Gordon Ramsay is an absolute nightmare” video coming out in a few weeks, where we will be making a souffle. I also will be working on a Boneworks VR review, and a remastered version of my Skyrim VR video. So lots coming!

IT'S CHRISTMAS! Which means it’s time to play and review Christmas games. VR Christmas games to be precise, because after all, every Christmas VR game is an absolute nightmare.
I go back to my roots and try a load of Virtual Reality games about Christmas, all from Steam. No not Boneworks… Maybe next time.
It occurred to me that every Christmas video game I had ever played was pretty bad, so I thought, would VR Christmas games be any worse? So it was decreed. I would play and review every virtual reality Christmas game on steam. And oh boy, there were more games than I thought. Virtual Reality is really taking off again, and since it’s Christmas I wanted to do some special VR reviews with my Index.
I hope in the new year to review the newer, more specific games that are coming out, but honestly, I really enjoy just reviewing as many VR games as possible in one go. As I say at the end, although I am am focusing on the downsides of these virtual reality games, making any game, especially a VR one, is an absolute nightmare, and I have the utmost respect for every single developer involved in each of these games.

Since it’s Halloween I’ve gone all out and reviewed the scariest (and best) VR game I could find. For once the title absolute nightmare will make sense… If you watch the video you will see this is one of the best full VR games you can get, and it’s technically free as it’s just a mod! Most VR games are fairly short so Alien Isolation VR really stands out in the VR market.
I am so shocked this game never got fully released by Sega, I honestly thing Alien Isolation VR as an official release wouyld be the best Vive/Index/Oculus/whatever game out there. As it stands Alien Isolation VR is still a bit clunky (as it’s a mod) but it is definitely one of the best VR games I have ever played. It’s also terrifying.
So sit back, relax, and let Alien Isolation VR scare the heck out of you on this Halloween eve!

The mod: github.com/Nibre/MotherVR/releases
Also. Alien Isolation may be the best looking VR game ever made too, with AAA graphics that have been incredibly well translated into VR, it is a joy to behold. BUT as a result it is also an absolute nightmare to play as it is so immersive. Don’t fret though, as it eventually stopped being too scary to play as I got used to the VR aspects of the game.
Voice attack allows you to add your own commands into Elite Dangerous, so you can fly it without relying entirely on the joystick. This is particularly useful with Elite Dangerous VR as you are blinded by the Vive (or whichever VR headset you use…)

My dumb thoughts: twitter.com/UpIsNotJump
I am okay with the controls on Elite Dangerous VR now (after a lot of practice) so I didn’t really need voice commands. Instead I thought it would be fun to create an Elite Dangerous voice pack, with let’s face it, mixed results.
I do actually plan on reviewing Elite Dangerous VR again, and that will be a proper “This Is Why” where I review the game mechanics and story BUT that will be part of a review of the “Index” which is a VR headset made by valve, which I am looking forward to reviewing BIG TIME.
So anyway. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this wee return to Elite Dangerous, it won’t be the last.

Things have been a little hard for me recently so rather than a full review I am trying some VR interviews with VR Gaming YouTubers, mixed in with some fun VR gameplay for laughs. A little like an edited podcast / VR let's play.
I will do a full review of Minecraft VR soon (I have already started the script) but that will be titled just "Minecraft VR Is An Absolute Nightmare - This is Why" so do keep an eye out for it in the next month or so.
Minecraft VR has taken off rather spectacularly so I decided to jump on that particular gaming game wagon and do a highly edited let's play. I honestly think this is pretty funny and worth while making as we get to learn about the gaming youtubers involved as well as see the game in action. This was made by playing Vivecraft by the way.

We all know existence is an absolute nightmare… (Part 2)
Time to unwind again away from VR with some science lessons with your internet teacher UpIsNotJump. This week I continue the story of the big bang but also focus on teaching the science around atoms and elements, namely hydrogen and helium, in the hopes of finally talking about stars next week.
Existence is an absolute nightmare is inspired, it it’s entirety, by the audio-book “Astrophysics for people in a hurry” read by Neil DeGrasse Tyson. It is where I got all my facts about the big bang and has helped me make existence a little easier to understand, even if it is an absolute nightmare.
As I said before ever since I mentioned I was a science teacher in my Elite Dangerous VR I get regular emails about science, with people asking e to do an absolute nightmare video about physics or chemistry, and this time UpIsNotJump delivers both.

New space science video on the 27th June :)
After watching these clips I am pretty into the idea of watching the animated movie in question, Bolt, and I'm pretty into the idea of becoming a voice actor. I doubt I would be any good though as I find it super difficult to express my voice like a proper voice actor would in an animated movie, I need some voice acting lessons I'm sure.
P.S. The voice acting from the director in Bolt movie is great, but it's all over the place ha, half the time he is British, the rest he is American, so I had no idea how to mimic him.
I am back to reviewing Virtual Reality games and ohhh deary me Blade and Sorcery VR is a nightmare and this is why!
Like GORN VR, the nightmare here is more the effect this game has on my young mind. Rather than any huge issue I have with the game. Blade and Sorcery VR like many new VR games is still very early access, but it is one of the most promising VR games I have seen on Steam in a while. The sheer amount of mechanics on display is crazy, and being able to do it all within a VR game is the icing on the… cake.

Blade and Sorcery VR also has a huge mod community if you really want to turn the game into an absolute nightmare you can google some mods that turn you into a super god.
I am also hugely excited for Valve’s VR head set and new Virtual Reality games. The next VR video I make will most likely be on that new VR headset, and I will probably go back and review some games I have already covered on this channel but with the new VR technology!
The next main video will be another “existence is an absolute nightmare – this is why video” so hold on to your hat as that series will return.
Ever since I mentioned I was a science teacher in my Elite Dangerous VR I have gotten manyyyy emails about it. So, I decided let’s combine VR and science into a video series about teaching science.

Starting with Physics I am covering how we got to where we are now, beginning at the Big Bang. BUT I will be covering chemistry and biology as we go, as I love teaching all 3 of the sciences. I will say honestly so far it really was an absolute nightmare trying to understand then explain this part of our existence. I can really see why I was better at chemistry than physics…
I used 2 virtual reality games and one 2D game to make the visuals for this Existence is an Absolute Nightmare – This Is Why episode. I used Elite Dangerous VR for all the ship scenes, Universe Sandbox VR when I help up and threw planets about, and Space Engine for the colourful backgrounds and scenes where I am moving quickly through space. SO I am trying out a new let’s play series, hopefully this will mean more videos. I chose to do Red Dead Redemption 2 since I reviewed this game most recently, for now I think all the games I play in this series will be ones I have done a “Is An Absolute Nightmare – This Is Why” video on since we will all be familiar with the games. I will try and do some VR let’s plays soon as a result.
In this video I travel the plains of Red Dead Redemption 2, with the goal of killing every major type of animal in the game inter-cut with challenges I have received on twitter. All the Absolute Nightmare, UpIsNotJump Plays will have a twist like this so they aren’t just your average Let’s Play.
I may do a few more episodes in Red Dead Redemption 2 first, just depends what you guys think of this episode.

This week I jump into bed with Rockstar and review Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PS4 Pro, and I gotta say, it’s an absolute nightmare.
Really though I think from watching this you can tell I like Red Dead Redemption 2, I am just focusing on the negative aspects to question the many reviews saying Red Dead Redemption 2 is a perfect game. It just seems worse than it is in this video because of my ranty “this is why it’s an absolute nightmare” style.

The next absolute nightmare video will be a VR game, but I thought I would try my hand at another 2D game, and what is better to complain about than Red Dead Redemption 2, possibly the most successful and critically acclaimed game of all time!! I’m sure no one will have any issues with my constant complaining.
I am sad I couldn’t show off Arthurs sweet moustache I have grown him, but since we are on the PS4 Pro there is no easy way to take a decent selfie. I pray for a PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2, I’d probably get it again and do a whole Red Dead Redemption 2 Is An Absolute Nightmare - This Is Why video again WITH MODS.

So since it’s Christmas I decided to keep it chill and light with a nice Bob Ross themed video. Honestly I planned painting along to this to be a complete and total absolute nightmare, making it like another “this is why” video, but the painting came out just sort of so-so. I’m as stunned as anyone.
After the New Year I will get back into video games and VR, but let’s go back to a time where things in life were simple and the only thing to put on TV on a Firday night was Bob Ross and his hilariously relaxing antics.

I have reviewed basically every main Fallout game in my “is a nightmare – this is why” style, one way or another in mini segments within other videos, but Fallout 76 is the first video I’ve done dedicated to reviewing a Fallout game. I did Fallout 4 VR but honestly I reviewed the VR side, rather than the actual game.
I don’t think Fallout 76 is as bad as other Fallout fans, don’t get me wrong, it isn’t GOOD but for me that’s only because of technical problems on Bethesda’s servers, I actually think Fallout 76’s gameplay and map is really chill and fun, though it really should have more content.
I do not like the multiplayer aspects of Fallout 76 in the slightest, the PVP is a missed opportunity, and everyone else just gets in my way. As a result I mostly avoided them, so don’t talk about it much in the video.

Steam is absolutely jam packed with VR games and the beauty of it is not many of these are known by the average gamer, or even the average VR gamer. Steam is also jam packed with non-VR games that not many people have played, but the Vive allows me to get inside these unusual and little known games and explore all the interesting parts of them.
The great thing about VR games is no matter what there is something funny or ridiculous about them to discuss. When I say Every VR Game On Steam Is A Nightmare I mainly mean I take each game I play and discuss it’s flaws and what makes it stand out, even if it is a good game. Allowing me to get hot under the collar about even the most average VR games.

So I guess my days of modding are over as it doesn't really fit this VR review style, unless the VR game needs it to properly experience everything it has to offer I won't be much of a mod guy for a while.
Fallout: New Vegas is perhaps my all time favourite game, I assumed VR could only make it better, turning the Mojave into a huge 3D world to explore, and with working mods, what could be better? Be careful what you wish for.

Maybe with a few mods it's passable. These mods remove a lot of the incompatibility encountered when turning a non-VR game VR,
but with all the compromises and lack of hand support it is missing what makes VR so appealing to me. It's debatable whether or not this is as bad as Fallout 4 VR was on it's first day release
Until Fallout 76 comes out this'll be the last of the Fallout stuff for now, saying that if I get the beta it may be the next video!

All the titles I reviewed for VR in the last few months have had modding supported but Budget Cuts VR (as far as I know) does not, so it wasn’t as easy for my to create VR skits and mod in crazy shit, more’s the pity.
Budget Cuts is one of the most highly anticipated games to come out for the VR this year, this is mainly due to the success and hype created by it’s demo. I never played the demo so went into Budget Cuts VR fresh and found it be an extremely exciting, if not flawed Vive game.
This video features clips from Skyrim VR, Fallout 4 VR, GORN VR, Elite Dangerous VR and Beat Saber VR.

This thing looked like an absolute nightmare (hilarious) for making Beat Saber levels, but the levels you can download using the mod are quick and easy to set up.
How I managed to make a full length video out of Beat Saber VR I will never know, next month I will be reviewing another VR title (as you may have expected), but one is much more elaborate and will mean I will focus on machinima based comedy, rather that the live action comedy I had to resort to in this video.
This Beat Saber video was much closer to my Elite Dangerous video as in the jokes revolved around me, next week will be more like my Skyrim VR is a nightmare video, where the jokes revolve around machinima, VR jokes, and (hopefully) mods.
