Illusion of Gaia is a role-playing game that was developed by Quintet and published by Enix. It has gameplay with one notable quirk in its progression system: characters get stronger not by gaining experience points but by getting special items dropped by enemies that permanently boost their stats. As for the story, it can be described as some sort of combination of alternate history and standard medieval fantasy tropes; magic and monsters thrive while ancient landmarks, both from real life and from mythology, are scattered throughout the world. You play as Will, a young boy and the only survivor of a father and son expedition to the Tower of Babel, which he has no memory of. After a chance meeting with a mysterious being named Gaia and runaway princess named Kara, Will's psychic powers awaken and he learns about a ominous comet that threatens the well-being of the Earth. Together, both Will and Kara will have to venture out and find a way to save the Earth.

After the sabotage and crash of Sky Lagoon, some of Repliforce's troops have been suspiciously seen with the Maverick terrorists, causing accusations from the government to be thrown at them. For this game, you are trapped in a room with three portraits, all three of which give cryptic clues. You need these clues in order to rummage through boxes and cabinets to obtain keys, objects, and more clues in order to find the key you need to get out of the room.
While winning this game isn't as simple as just knowing a code unlike the earlier games from the same creator, Rxser ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Rxser ) nevertheless knows what to do and gets out the room in record time without checking if the television in the room works.

Key is the second Flash game by Yomino Kagura in the escape room subgenre. In this room, you'll be needing keys, lots of them. You'll find and use them to discover codes and clues to solve a puzzle that will lead you to the final code that will let you out of the room.
Spikestuff ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Spikestuff ) here doesn't bother with any of that since they already know the code and leaves the room in record time without touching a single key.

Kirby's Adventure is a colorful game that's very long for a NES game. King Dedede stole the Star Rod, split it into pieces and gave it to his minions, and it's up to Kirby to piece it back together. The game features a vast amount of copy abilities, ranging from laser to the single-use Crash ability, which defeats every enemy on screen.
However, keyword ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/keyword ) makes no use of the copy abilities whatsoever, clearing it without any optional copy abilities whatsoever.
EPILEPSY WARNING: There are flashing lights when a Bomber explodes as well when a boss is defeated, which may cause epileptic seizures to those affected.

Pop'n Tanks! is a tank combat game that was released only in Japan. It was published by Enix and features character designs from manga artist Mine Yoshizaki, which were incorporated into the animated cutscenes. A notable feature it has is its rather expansive tank customization, featuring over 250 parts to exchange and swap out, including various long-range and short-range weapons like flamethrowers. Its combat, in addition to the standard tank capabilities, also gives you the ability to jump and stomp on your enemies. The Story Mode has you choose between eight characters, each with their own backstories, and fight against a bunch of other competitors for various reasons, from the friendly to the petty.
For this run, somyeol ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/somyeol ) chooses the character Date for his rather broken flamethrower weapon and burns through the competition and the rather silly final boss in record time with some rather significant AI and RNG manipulation. For details, you can read the author's notes ( tasvideos.org/9303S ).

Trio the Punch: Never Forget Me... (トリオ・ザ・パンチ) is a rather bizarre beat em' up developed by Data East for the arcades. It later saw a port to the PlayStation 2 as part of an arcade compilation called Oretachi Gēsen Zoku. From what can be discerned, there doesn't appear to be any sort of coherent through-line connecting all the levels beyond jumping from one setting to another. You choose a character, go through a level, get some words on the screen, then move on to the next level. These levels often don't follow standard game-play conventions, with bosses appearing at the start of some levels and certain levels having only a few enemies before the end-level boss.
For this run, illayaya ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/illayaya ) starts by using Kamakura for the first few stages, then later using the game's roulette wheel switches to Santos for the rest of the run, completing the game in record time.

Elf: The Movie is a licensed video game that is loosely based on the 2003 movie Elf. Like many other video game adaptations made at the time, this game doesn't have much to do with the movie, making almost no reference outside of the cutscenes to the movie's premise of one of Santa's little helpers being an actual human and leaving the North Pole to bond with his biological family. Instead, the game consists of levels where Buddy journeys from the North Pole to New York and does some lengthy minigames along the way.
In this run, Adorabull ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Adorabull ) rescues Christmas in record time, having Buddy moonwalk along the way without any sign of his father Walter or love interest Jovie.

Super Ice Hockey, also known in Japan as Super Hockey '94, is a sports game that was developed by Opera House and published by Sunsoft in Europe. Oddly enough, it was never released in North America. In addition to being a standard ice hockey video game, Super Ice Hockey includes an Olympic mode where the goal is to qualify for the main games and win a gold medal. It also has options for setting the strictness of the referees, hockey teams from all over the world, and the ability to start in-court fights.
alexheights1 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/alexheights1 ) performs their magic in this record-setting run by only scoring one goal and then letting the AI opponent loaf around while they do nothing afterwards. This is done through careful inputs to manipulate the AI before the first goal was scored.

Revenge of the Ninja, also known as Ninja Hayate (忍者ハヤテ), is a full-motion video adventure game that was made by Taito to capitalize on the FMV quick time event subgenre that Dragon's Lair pioneered. Like the game that inspired it, the gameplay has the player choose a path at critical moments in the game that will either kill the player, keep them alive, or go down towards a different path. These moments only give seconds to make a choice, and not making a choice in time invariably leads to the player dying. As for the plot, it is essentially Dragon's Lair but set in Feudal Japan and Singe the Dragon replaced by a ninja master. Hayate the ninja sets off to save his beloved princess from the ninja master, braving through numerous traps, enemy ninjas, and other weird enemies.
In this run, Darkman425 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Darkman425 ) does a perfect play of the game as fast as possible and gets an anachronistic certificate for his efforts.

6-tsu no Hoshi no Heya Kara no Dasshutsu (6つの星の部屋からの脱出, Escape From the Room With the Six Stars) is one of many escape room Flash games by Yomino Kagura. As the name implies, you are trapped in a room with six grey stars on a shelf. Also in the room are a monitor, a few safes, a checkered box, and a weird futuristic table contraption. You will need all of these to figure out where the key to the door is.
Rxser ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Rxser ) thankfully already figured it out and escapes the room in record time without looking at the stars.

3-tsu no Hako no Heya Kara no Dasshutsu (3つの箱の部屋からの脱出, Escape From the Room With the Three Boxes) is a Flash game by Yomino Kagura and one of many from him of the escape room subgenre. As the name implies, you are trapped in a room with three checkered boxes. These boxes possibly contain a key or clues that can help you obtain a key that can get you out of the room. However, to open those boxes, you need to figure out codes and other puzzles using the other objects placed around the room.
Rxser ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Rxser ) demonstrates forethought in this run and cracks every code and puzzle as fast as possible to get the key needed to leave the room.

NHL 2000 is part of a series of yearly sports games released by EA Sports. New to this game is a Season Mode where you get to simulate a season of hockey with your team of choice, completely with player drafting, retirements, and trading. And for the year 2000, it added in the Atlanta Thrashers, a team that was very new at the time of the game's release.
alexheights1 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/alexheights1 ) once again completes a game of hockey by ending input as early as possible, manipulating the other team (set at their hardest difficulty) into doing almost nothing to their team, who is doing nothing at all and yet manages to win anyway.

NHL Blades of Steel 2000 is a hockey sports game for the PlayStation that was developed by Konami. It also received a port to the Game Boy Color by Climax Studios. As with many other hockey games, you pick a team and control the teammate closest to the puck so you can get it to the goal and score points. As this is a PlayStation title, it takes advantage of its capabilities to bring the game to the 3D realm by having a more dynamic third-person camera.
Here, alexheights1 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/alexheights1 ) makes all hockey spectators somnolent by crafting the minimum amount of input necessary to have their hockey team ride their way to winning the game without doing much, all while the AI opponent (set to the hardest difficulty) is manipulated into loafing around for most of the game.
