It'll eventually be reprinted in a single color, broken down into smaller sections, and assembled much more like the real thing.But here's the funny part...The bridge may be the most visible progress on the layout, yet it doesn't help a single train move.The real work is still underneath the layout.Over the past several weeks I've been replacing electronics, upgrading the wiring, moving block detection from LocoNet to LCC, installing new hardware, and preparing for a future dispatcher-controlled railroad. The “before” and “current” panels in the thumbnail show just how far things have come—and there’s still more to go.I’m waiting on a few parts, but progress is happening, connections are being made, and we’re getting closer to the moment where everything needs to be tested.And that’s where things get interesting…I’m about 99% confident these changes won’t affect the ability to run trains—but at this point, anything is possible.For a lot of people, this part of the hobby can feel overwhelming.
