Newer Team 2020-08-25 | Hey guys -- we're back with a brand new level showcasing the deep and majestic caves of World D: Crystal Caverns. This is a redesigned version of the very first level in the world.

Also, we realize this video is rather belated. Development has been a bit rocky with the global pandemic going on; we appreciate your support and patience during this time, and we apologize for not delivering updates in a timely manner. We are, however, still hard at work on the project, so for all of you who have been asking, don't worry -- it hasn't been cancelled!

Newer Team 2020-07-22 | Music written for a cancelled Christmas 2020 update to Newer Super Mario Bros. DS. The whole soundtrack was to be remastered, and the game was to stream it rather than play sequenced HGSS-soundfont music, but the update never ended up being finished. This is all that was made.

[APRIL FOOLS 2020] Newer Wii Plus Development #7 - Extended Controller Support!

Newer Team 2020-04-01 | You've all been asking us to support another controller, so we decided to extend the controller support further--we have added the ability to play with one never before supported by a New Super Mario Bros. videogame or modification. Here is a showcase of this new feature that we have been hard at work on. It is the reason the modification has taken as long as it has. We have spent years on research and implementation. So we are very proud to show you the feature working in action.

At launch, Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii Plus will natively support all official Red Octane Guitar Hero Controllers for the Nintendo Wii, including the Guitar Hero III Les Paul controller and Guitar Hero World Tour, Guitar Hero 5, and Band Hero Stratocasters! Rock Band support is planned (this includes guitars, basses, drums, and microphones).
