Diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of two, filmmaker Alexander Freeman grew up surrounded by love and support from his family. But when he tells his parents that his girlfriend is pregnant, their reaction forces him to confront painful assumptions about disability, independence, and what a “normal” life looks like.

Through love, determination, and the birth of his daughter Maya, Alexander and his partner Orina set out to build a life together despite the doubts around them.
