2 years ago before the pandemic I went on a Dream Cruise, which was pretty awesome. This time it's my first on the Royal Caribbean (Quantum of the Seas) cruise, which is a Cruise to Nowhere happening in the middle of a pandemic. It was a much needed breather away from Singapore for 4 days 3 nights, and I wished I had booked another night.

Overall, the food and service was really awesome, and the shows were amazing. We didn't spend a single dime on extras (other than wifi) cos everything that's included was good enough.

The only thing I hated about the trip was the need to be 'kiasu', from trying to check in to the earliest boarding timeslot, to rushing to book the shows and certain activities. We couldn't do the bumper car activity as it was fully booked the moment we stepped foot into our room.

A few other things to take note:
- No need to book timeslots for dining (as of now)
- You can't bring your extension cords (they will confiscate it)
- Everything is paid in USD on the ship
- Try try try to get an earlier boarding time. Our was at 4pm and by the time we were through, it was about 5pm.
