Last time we made a baby quilt on My First Quilt, it was comprised of square patches which were all the same size and sewed together extremely quickly. This time, Sara shows how to take that concept a step further and make an easy baby quilt with half square triangles. Sara demonstrates spraying the fabric with a spray starch alternative to help with the bias edges of the triangles. She then shows cutting the triangles, sewing them together, and pressing them open. On this project, Sara sewed a pieced backing and scrappy binding with the leftover fabric from the quilt top and shows how both of those look on the finished quilt.
