This is game play footage of my new little "CYBERBOTS" video game which is sort of an Asteroids clone, but a bit harder and with power-ups.... coded by me with a little help from ChatGPT 5.
I first had ChatGPT make a self-contained html file for the game (which is much easier for it to do) and since I've done a tiny bit of coding in the long ago past, I knew how to fix some of the issues that came up.
I then used the Electron framework in Visual Studio Code to convert the html game into a stand-alone desktop app. There were a couple of times I got stuck in the process, so again, ChatGPT helped walk me through what I needed to do (mostly what commands to type in the Terminal and what to add in the package json file for the app to recognize my app icon.) And now, I've got this silly but fun little Cyberbots game running on the desktop!
