in all seriousness, this was not really the introduction to them I wanted to post on here. I had a whole animation meme (two, actually) planned to be the first video of these guys on here, but i do not have infinite time. so i hope you still like it

basic plot rundown: winston (left in first shot, he/him) and cedric (right in first shot, they/them) are two twin siblings and children of the esteemed reed family. winston has always been singled out by his parents as a failure, leading to all kinds of abuse. the parents even manage to turn cedric on winston, causing a bitter relationship between the two. one day, a fight between them turns physical, causing a stray candle to be knocked over, and quickly (suspiciously quick...) engulfing the mansion in flames. cedric uses his last moments to save winstons life, because even the two despised each other at this point, neither hated each other enough to want them to die horrifically. winston is booted from town by his own parents after this, due to them threatening to using their power to pin this tragedy as a murder attempt, so winston flees town and changes his appearance/identity for safety reasons. upon hearing the news of his parents deaths, he returns to his hometown, but discovers the ghost of cedric, who has taken on the appearance of the very thing that killed them. why has this happened? why is cedrics ghost stuck wandering the earth? why does his ghost look like this? all secrets will be revealed. when i get there
