Starting with the Buddhist notion of non-self and following the existential thread found in both Buddhism and Psychoanalysis, it argues for a therapeutic method that resists the soteriological fantasy of "cure" and proposes that the only way we can truly "be with" our inevitable struggles is through "care."Dr Jason Ross is a practicing psychologist with a PhD in Philosophy and Psychoanalysis from the Global Centre of Advanced Studies. He takes a critical stance towards conventional psychology and its ideas of what it means to be supposedly normal.

Epistemic violence is manifesting within academia, resulting in broader injustices and exclusion of certain philosophies and entire voices from the philosophical canon. By invalidating these philosophies and writing them off as being experiences instead of valid forms of philosophical investigation, the field of negative philosophy comes into light, attempting to deconstruct the existing injustices within philosophy while simultaneously taking part in it.
