Butterfly Blessings Studio Dive into the world of making a Masterboard. What is a Masterboard? Simply put, it's a large collage of scrap papers that you can then use as a background for other projects. In this video, I will share many helpful tips and tricks as well as a sped up version of the process for tutorial. I have so many Your Creative Studio subscription stationery box supplies, that I decided to use them up (or at least some of them ;) making some masterboards. This is aslo a great project for mass making.

Inspiration for what to do with them?
-Journal cards, tags, pockets, belly bands, envelopes, journal cover, heart shape, corner tuck, embellishments such as banner tucks etc.

Process: 1- Collect papers/scraps
2- collage- on book paper, magazine pages, scrapbook paper, paper place mat, junk mail...any surface you want to glue onto and cover up
3- (optional) Add ephemera and details (stamps, stickers, stenciling, etc.)
4-cut it up
5-embellish for use- add more if you like or feel like something is needed.

Helpful Tips/Tricks:
*Start with a neutral color pallet
*Vary the direction of scraps so that there's an all over pattern
*Use torn edges or straight edges
*Use up your least favorite scraps first (maybe save any favorite scraps for the final embellishments)
*If you don't love the end result...cover it up until you do...just keep going. You can even paint over with white acrylic paint or gesso for a mixed media neutral background.

Spiral Bound Winnie the Pooh Themed Junk Journal Memory Album Baby Book Flip Through Ideas

Butterfly Blessings Studio 2025-09-12 | If you love Winnie the Pooh, and tigger too, then you're going to love this look into this altered Disney storybook memory album. This could be a junk journal to capture all kinds of ephemera and memories, or a baby book for the first years. It is spiral bound using the Cinch machine with o-wire. I have also created a beautiful dangle full of ribbons and textiles, complete with a one of a kind Tigger tail. The journal is full of pockets, flip outs, tuck spots, corner flips, tags and so much more. Look for the special interactive elements, as well as some unique ideas!

Join me junk journaling in my altered planner junk journal style again. This two page layout features scraps from my stash as well as ephemera and stamps from the Simon Says Stamp card kit of the month for February 2025, Distressed Love Notes. I loved the Tim Holtz idea-ology ephemera pack (Palette) so much that I bought a second pack from Joann. Though the SSS subscription box is a card kit, this one has so many things that are great to use in journals. I also pulled out my mini printer the Canon Ivy for my photos to work with. I hope you enjoy seeing the process and some ideas for tuck spot, journaling, and collage elements as well.

I purchased some Caran d'Ache Luminance colored pencils (and a couple Holbein colored pencils too) and Neocolor II water soluble pastels to fill in some gaps in my collections. I didn't choose these colors as a collective palette but I am going to challenge myself to make a little piece of artwork with just these new supplies (and a little blender pencil and sketchbook ;). I'm using mostly supplies that I have collected from various Your Creative Studio vintage subscription stationery supply boxes. While I am making this dupe of the card I made with the Simon Says Stamp card kit of the month for February 2025 (Distressed Vintage Notes), I will be sharing many tips, tricks and techniques for a successful "copy". I have two versions of a baby or child memory album made from up-cylced Little Golden Books. These are bound using my Cinch with o-wire.
