The MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM X is the quietest 4090 according to TechPowerUp's tests, coming in at just 28.6 dBA in the Silent BIOS mode. It is an extremely efficient and superbly engineered GPU. This is a test of the GPU in 10 games using the card's Silent BIOS.
If you are in the market for a 4090 this Black Friday or holiday season, I highly recommend the SUPRIM X.
The settings used here are settings that most people are likely to use in a given game for a good balance between visuals and performance. For example, in games like Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk, 4090 owners are likely to want to play these games with the latest cutting edge features like path tracing. As such, DLSS balanced/performance modes + frame gen are highly recommended. In games like F1 23 or R&C, you can maintain a high frame rate even with DLSS quality mode. Then there are games like Forza Motorsport, where the DLSS implementation isn't very good right now and the performance increase is minimal.
