This is what the glacier above Katla volcano and how it looks like in late summer 2026, but I was hoping to get higher up this time as Katla is a shy volcano that uses clouds to cover itself. After all the beating that my car took to get up there, i was a little frustrated to deal with the cloud limitations. This is however a fairly good glacier view, Mýrdalsjökull is retreating like moist Icelandic glaciers, so this is documenting that process of course.
