How to personalize race medals without engraving
How to 3D print with 2 colors in Bambu Studio and Bambu Labs PS1 with AMS
When I’m not making YouTube videos, I’m working or running. I run about 10-20 road races a year. I’ve completed 4 full marathons (Chicago 2021, New York 2018, Atlanta 2017, Savannah Rock ‘n Roll 2014) and 27 half marathons. I have over 100 race medals.
Stuff I used for this project:
Bambu Labs P1S printer (AMS included) - us.store.bambulab.com/products/p1s

A walking tour of Valparaiso is full of street art and stairs. Fortunately we took the funicular up and walked down stairs while enjoying beautiful murals.
We ride up the funicular known as Ascensor El Peral to a breathtaking view of Valparaiso and the Pacific Ocean.
Next, we walk by Palacio Baburizza and Paseo Yugoeslavo Ex Paseo Americano
Then we enjoy an art walk along Miramar
We walk down Pasaje Bavestrello
We view the colorful steps - Escalera de la canción
Walk along Urriola to Casa de las Flores Hostel where we admire a wing mural
Next stop, my favorite spot, lunch at Café Del Pintor
After lunch, visit Cerro Alegre and walk down Almte. Montt
Walk around Catedral Anglicana Saint Paul via Pilcomayo
And down the Piano Staircase
Walk down Beethoven Street
To the Panoramic View at Paseo Atkinson
Next we walk down Concepcion and take a right on Papudo where we stop by Hotel Boutique 17 and we can see directly through the hotel to the ocean
Left on Pasaje Galvez
Escalera de Colores

3rd stop on our tour was Caleta Portales, a popular fish market and beach. We walked along the boardwalk looking for sea lions. One of the tourists in our group accidentally stepped on a container of ceviche which sprayed cheviche juice all over her jeans. Fortunately she was wearing waterproof Australian boots.

Day trip from Santiago, Chile
The tour guide picked us up from our AirBnB in Santiago and after a brief stop at Dulces Millahue, we arrived at our first stop - the famous Flower Clock of Viña del Mar.
Our 2nd stop is at the Museo Fonck where we see a Moai from Easter Island.

Leg 2 - Jennifer
I was so tired, I didn't meet her at Exchange 2 when she handed off to Paul
Leg 3 - Paul
Paul came in 3 minutes early to get us back on track on the spreadsheet
I got bad footage with my phone, but good footage with my Insta360
Leg 4 - Herna
It was hot made only worse with the heat reflecting off the asphalt
Exchange 4 - Herna took off her shirt (due to the heat) which confused Jordan as he was looking for her shirt color.
Leg 5 - Jordan ran fast, as expected.
Exchange 5 - We had to U-turn twice to get to Exchange 5. Specific instructions to stay in the vehicle which we thought meant all of us had to stay in the vehicle leaving Jordan to his own devices to find us. Barrie hands off to Jordan without giving him any instructions and Jordan calls Paul on his phone to find us.
Barrie drove from Exchange 4 to 5. He jumps out of the car to get ready to run and then the line of cars starts moving forward. I jump in the driver's seat to move the car. Barrie who is outside of the vehicle has to jump into the passenger seat.
Leg 6 -Barrie
Exchange 6 - Major Exchange
Van 1 and Van 2 are in 2 separate parking lots.
The original plan was to park next to each other to hand off bibs and shirts.
I buy an acai bowl from a food truck vendor in the parking lot
Barrie hands off to Katie
Legs 7-12
We head toward Portland and stop at the Firehouse Subs along the way (near Gresham) to get dinner and refill our water bottles
We get to the Motel 6 near Exchange 12 to shower and rest.
We get room 101, right next to the office.
We shower, rest and get to Exchange 12.
The sun sets.
Exchange 12 - I hand over the room key and parking pass to Van 2.

Leg 1 -
I quickly moved to the back.
The route is straight downhill
I really held back on Leg 1 for the following reasons:
• Trying not to trip and fall
• Holding my Insta360 - trying to get footage
• Saving myself for 2 more legs
I ended up running way too slow and coming in 3 minutes after my predicted finish time.
Exchange 1 - I had the perfect slap band handoff to Jennifer
In 2019, the question was asked, "When putting together an industry event, are panel discussions dead?"
4 years later, I can look back and say, "Panel discussions are not dead. Attendees want to see and hear panelists that are relatable instead of the same boring people over and over again. Creating diverse panels is the key!"

0:27 - Prerequisite
A prerequisite to this video is that you need to have admin access to your home network. This means that you need to know how to login to your home network. You would have most likely logged in when your internet service was installed and/or when you changed your Wifi name and password.
0:55 - Use Case
Now let's talk about why you might find this useful. An example could be that you have a dependent in your home and your are limiting their video streaming or gaming time. The specific example I'm going to use in this video is disabling streaming to a Roku TV.
1:33 - How To Pause
Now let's get into how to disable a device on your network.
It takes about a minute to 3 minutes for the video streaming to stop. The watcher doesn't get a message that says that you've paused their internet access.
3:18 - How to Unpause
Now that we've paused their internet, let's turn back on their internet streaming. Hit unpause and in about 30 seconds, internet will start streaming again.

How to Lock Your Door with Level Bolt and Alexa - youtu.be/mi0l_pSV8cQ
00:38 - 1. Default connection is Bluetooth
2:11 - 1a. You can connect to either Apple HomeKit or Amazon Sidewalk, but not both at the same time
3:04 - 2. Guest access requires installing the Level Home app
5:19 - 3. No Apple Watch App
6:09 - 4. Auto Unlock worked exactly once for me
7:22 - 5. My Top Tip - Set your Auto Lock Time
7:52 - Level Bolt Q&A
7:56 - Question 1
8:36 - Question 2
8:51 - Question 3
1. The default method of connecting to the lock is via Bluetooth. In order to lock and unlock the door via Wifi, you need to connect to Amazon Sidewalk or Apple HomeKit. At the time of this recording, you cannot have booth Amazon Sidewalk AND Apple HomeKit enabled. If you start enabling the other service, it will automatically disconnect the first service.
2. There are multiple ways to give access, name and email/phone or a unique link. Giving access to guests requires them to download the app, but does not require them to create an account. Although they are encouraged to do so.
3. At the time of this recording, Level lock does not have a corresponding Apple Watch app. However if you have Apple HomeKit, you can use the Home app to unlock the door from your watch. I don't have an apple TV or hub so the one thing I wished it would have is a watch app.
4. Auto unlock may work for you, but has only worked once for me. Let me start by explaining how auto unlock is supposed to work…
5. This is my top tip for you and it has nothing to do with Amazon Echo. Set an automatic lock duration. This automatically locks your door if left open for a set amount of time.
Q&A from my last video:
LY asked: Trying to figure out what could be the scenario someone tries to call the Echo speaker (inside) to unlock the front door :)
Let's say your friend is at the door and you want them to come in and you don't want to go all the way to the door to unlock it or get out your phone to unlock the door. Then I would instruct Alexa to open the front door.
Daniel asked: Have you ever tried linking all your IoT stuff with Home Assistant?
John Chen asked: Do you have a Ring doorbell? I followed your video and was able to enable Level Home on Alexa app. I linked my Level account and Alexa took less than 45 seconds to connect to my lock. Next I went to Devices then Locks, only to see the message "device is unresponsive". My research shows it would need a Ring doorbell in order to work with Alexa. Is that the case for you?

You can unlock and lock the deadbolt on your door with the Level Bolt app or Amazon Echo (Alexa) device. In this video, I installed the Level Bolt device inside my door’s deadbolt. My existing deadbolt wasn’t compatible with the Level Bolt and I also replaced the deadbolt with a newer version of the same deadbolt.

Technology Association of Georgia (TAG Marketing GeekOut) presentation from March 2, 2021.
World-Ranked and All-American track athlete, Tina Klein has coached thousands of aspiring runners in-person. With the global pandemic, we wanted to create a vehicle to provide her coaching plans in a virtual format. We crafted an Alexa Skill to make her run training plans available as an in-skill purchase in Alexa.
How the Alexa Skill works: Each day the runner will ask Alexa for the workout and a specific workout will be provided based on the runner's goal distance and goal date. For example, if a runner set a goal to run a 5K distance in 8 weeks, Alexa would provide a different workout each day ascending the runner toward their goal.
Side note: Coach Tina Klein was a Captain in the US Army serving in Germany for 10 years. This Alexa Skill includes recordings of her voice in both English and German.
Success: Runners from the US and Germany have now purchased her training plans via Alexa, creating a new revenue stream for her coaching business.
Check out this skill on your Alexa device by saying, "Alexa open my training plan," or watch a video recording youtu.be/wKSoqla9qYQ

10: The Raspberry Pi Pico measures 2 inches by .82 and at its thickest point with the microUSB connector is .15 inches and features the RP2040 microcontroller chip.
9: Programming languages for the Pico include C, C++ or MicroPython.
8: You can write, build, and load code for your Pico board from your Raspberry Pi 400, Raspberry Pi 4 , Raspberry Pi 3, Windows or Mac computer.
7: Loading your code to the Pico board is as simple as drag and drop via USB cable.
6: The Raspberry Pi Pico board includes a temperature sensor, clock and timer.
5: The RP2040 is the first microcontroller chip for Raspberry Pi and was named 2040 for its specs, two is for 2 processor cores, zero is for M0+, 4 floors, and 0 floors if no on board non-volatile storage.
4: There are 20 pins on each side and 3 pins for debugging on the bottom. 26 pins are multi-function GPIO pins. 23 of the 26 GPIO pins are digital only and the other 3 pins are Analog to Digital capable. There are 2 SPI, 2 I2C, 2 UART, and 8 ground pins. Essentially this means that you have a variety of peripherals that you can connect such as this I2C display, and or reading a temperature and humidity sensor.
3: On the board, we have a bootSEL button and 1 led connected to GPIO25. 2: You’ll need a microUSB cable to power and transfer the code from your computer to your Pico board. You’ll also need a soldering iron and header pins, or purchase a Pico with pre-soldered header pins.
1: And because this is from the Raspberry Pi Foundation, the Pico is intended to be a tool for learning. Thus they provide a plethora of code samples. Additionally, the brand new microPython book for the Pico also launches today.
