Jazz singer Molly Johnson released her new album 'Because of Billie' earlier this month, a tribute to Billie Holliday. "For years, people have said to me, 'You are so much like Billie Holliday'. My response has been 'No, I am because of Billie.' Her generation sacrificed for my privilege and I am honor-bound to them." As a result, the Canadian singer will donate a portion of album sales to programs for underprivileged youth and families, and is creating the Billie Holliday Foundation. Full of life and enthusiasm, she's been treating her audience for years with a great repertoire of mostly jazzy but sometimes pop songs. Here, accompanied by Mike Downes (double bass) and Robi Botos (piano) she interprets us 'Solitude', taken from her album 'Lucky', already an homage to Billie Holliday, as she recorded in 1946 a version of this Jazz classic composed by Duke Ellington, under the name '(In My) Solitude'.

Hozier comes from County Wicklow, Ireland, not far from Dublin, and right from the first seconds listening to him, we just know that this tall man was gifted with amazing guitar skills, and a mind-blowing voice that just pierces right through your (religious) soul. While this incantatory voice echoes around us, reaching us with off-putting simplicity, we just wonder where this humble yet impressive guy - still unknown not so long ago - comes from… This track To Be Alone, that he performed for us the day before going on stage for the Rock en Seine festival, is a bluesy tune about a young man and the joy he feels when being alone with his girl. It was released on September 19 in his debut album Hozier.")
