[MK8D] How to use country flags online from regions without eShop access Aplex 2020-12-17 | This tutorial shows how you can use some of the more special country flags online in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, so if you're a fellow flag enthusiast, I hope this video could help you out! I was wondering if there was a way to do this a few days ago, and after figuring it out myself and seeing that there's no tutorial out there yet which explains it, I thought I'll just share what I found out.As I annotated later on in the video, I tried to put the switch into sleep mode to see if you can still keep your flag that way. However, doing this will force you to reenter your nintendo password and at the same time it will update your ingame flag to reflect your account settings. Hence, putting the switch into sleep mode will revert your flag, so you have to do the process again for the next time. As long as you stay online though, the flag should not update.
