The thumb gusset underneath the thumb opening is now complete. Here I use two 6 st wide waste yarn flaps to act as a provisional edge to reestablish the knitting in the round after the thumb. The two pieces of waste are threaded alternately onto a spare needle and put in to bridge the gap.
