You are Jesse, and you and your friends are thrown into an awe-inspiring adventure to save the world. While visiting EnderCon, your gang stumbles on something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and your only hope is to track down the “Order of the Stone”, a fabled group of adventurers who slew the legendary Ender Dragon. But where are they? In a race against time, you will travel across the over-world, through the Nether, to The End, and beyond.
The player can customize Jesse's avatar, including choice of gender; as such, the male version is voiced by Patton Oswalt, while the female avatar is voiced by Catherine Taber. Other characters within the Minecraft world include the humans Petra (voiced by Ashley Johnson), Axel (Brian Posehn), Olivia (Martha Plimpton), Lukas (Scott Porter), Maya, Ivy, Fangirl (GK Bowes), Owen (Owen Hill), Gill (Phil LaMarr), Aiden, Otis (Matthew Mercer), Usher (Jason 'jtop' Topolski), Sigge, Fanboy (Billy West), Lydia (Lydia Winters), and the Announcer (Erin Yvette), Jesse's pet pig Reuben (Dee Bradley Baker) and the five Order of the Stone members: Gabriel the Warrior (Dave Fennoy), Magnus the Griefer (Corey Feldman), Ellegaard the Redstone Engineer (Grey Griffin), Soren the Architect (John Hodgman) and Ivor (Paul Reubens); Stauffer said that the human characters as a whole represent the different types of players that play Minecraft. Billy West narrates the story.
