Mytho) aren't really based on their final costumes or anything, it's just based on the ballet outfits they wear in the OP. AU ramblings:In case you don't know Utena: It's about this girl, the rose bride, who basically gets handed around this fight club of duelists that duel each other for her hand because she has the key to eternity or some shit. Utena, the MC, basically says Fuck That and duels for her and then tries to become friends with her, yada yada. More (Utena spoilers I guess):- Fakir is basically Saionji (the duelist that Anthy, the rose bride, "belongs to" in the beginning and oh boy does he not treat her well) but with a bit of Utena sprinkled in. Ahiru notices that Fakir treats Mytho badly, tells him to cut that shit out and then Mytho becomes Ahiru's "bride" - Fakir changes and eventually probably gets him back or maybe it's just wholesome ot4 dynamic i don't know. - Either way, Mytho is both Anthy and the Prince here which is. very weird but I think with his whole self-sacrificial stick that actually works really well too. He's not the prince anymore, he's just a husk. - Obviously the whole Anthy's brother segment doesn't happen, but his role as "end of the world" (basically the puppet master behind everything) is pretty safely taken up by Drosselmeyer anyway. Not sure how far I'd include the whole writing aspect but you could PROBABLY do that somehow. - Aight so can we talk about Mytho stabbing Fakir.- Or like. Fakir, after the final showdown lying on the collapsed ground being like "I couldn't be the knight you needed" bc hohhh boyyy the angstttt-- Also one of my friends was like "Imagine Utena duels but they make the raven poses" and that's so insanely funny I cannot.Also Rue saying "the only time I ever was happy was when I was with you" is basically 1:1 what Utena says and I'm not over that. ANYWAY.HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOI. This finale was AMAZING. Rewatching it is so much fun. The fusions do feel a bit forced, and I don't really like the garnet-steven fusion THAT much tbh, but luckily for me the special was way more than that. It's astounding how much story the crewniverse can press into such small amounts of time.It tied up so many things and yeah, it felt a bit rushed, but it also makes it very easy to rewatch.I'm kinda sad we won't have more of White Diamond as an antagonist, she was SOOOO CREEPY. And I LOVED IT. I know there wouldn't be a good reason to drag it out any longer but GOSHHHH I wish there was more of her.And OHHHH boi, the scene when Steven's gem gets taken out. I didn't expect it at all, I mean I've seen the theories, but I didn't think they would do it because I thought it'd kill Steven (and it seemed like on long-term it def would like holy smokes), though thinking about it now, it ties in so well with everything and the foreshadowing, it just makes sense to do it. I got chills all over my body when WD touched his gem, omg. We don't gotta talk about that animation in that scene! Amazing. But the animation even aside from that was really good! Lots of roatation shots, etc. The first half tended to be a bit off-model especially blue and yellow but I can bear it........... even tho it took me out of some scenes which is sad!I know I've laid Rose's voiceover over him fusing back together (I also do not think he's a fusion but for lack of a better word I'll use fuse), but I don't really think Pink Steven is Rose/PD. But in a way her voice-over felt like it fits. Also I'm still bad at voice-overs X'DA very good story about self-love. And yeah, even I have noticed the trans meaning it has! X'DAnd I watched the she-ra reboot last week and this is my quick and shitty tribute to it. Expect more (hopefully).I think the new show has its flaws but overall I think I enjoy it more than the original. The original was my mom's teenage-hood (?) and just like she did with Sailor Moon, she showed me She-ra as well. So I actually have a connection to the original, unlike how I stand towards Voltron. It was interesting to hear all these familiar names and see what they did with it - and I like most of it, honestly. As an IT student, the system admin / code stuff is an interesting touch that I enjoyed. When the hologram said "Query not found" I TURNED ON SUBTITLES TO BE SURE I DIDN'T HEAR THAT WRONG X'D Could be I quoted it wrong but eh.The best thing is probably how various the body types and representation is. I also really like the music and animation in she-ra's transformation. I usually actually was sad when they skipped it or shortened it. I really like how she grows bigger too. It clearly is intended for kids and I hope it tackles some more dark themes. The old She-ra is def more "mature" / "sexual" I guess. Anyway. CATRA. I think I have a highkey crush on her. I'm too lazy to travel anywhere to go to a convention tbh.And well! It was very, very exhausting. I came home every day at like 6-10 pm and fell asleep almost imediately. I managed to get two keychains with Izuku and Ochako and one FMA poster! Plus, a few photos of cool cosplays which I don't want to share just in case the people have a problem with that! I also made a picture together with a cosplay of Violet Evergarden, which was absolutely sweet and I smiled like a dork ^///^SO! I entered the AMV Contest at said convention, and because I felt like I was fit for the hard level I said I'd sign up for that and well, I fell on my face. HARD. I don't know where I placed according to the jury, but I wasn't in the top 3 of 11 candidates, which is of course not to say I was last, but well, in the public vote, before I shared it with some friends to maybe save my poor pride, I was second to last and only when my friend voted, was I third-to-last.Not to say I felt like I should have won, the entries were all absolutely beautiful, but it still kind of hurt and I'm kinda frustrated. I guess I'm not last, so that's at least nice. Maybe I'll try fortgeschritten ("progressed"??) instead of profis (pros) next year! It's really weird that all the first placed people received a price, but 2nd and 3rd place not?? because then it's like "hey this person who palced 1st place in the LOWER CATEGORY got stuff and I DIDN'T, even though I'm 2nd in pro and therefore am BY THE CONTEST'S RULES BETTER THAN THE FIRST PLACE OF THEM" like, to me, this system just SCREAMS to sign up for the lower skill level so you can have an easier win and just GET THE PRIZE. I procrastinated really long and rushed these two parts in a week, where I had like 4 days (~2 hours per day, sometimes more) for Lose Control and because something happened in my private life I had another 1 and a half day for the You Da One-Part, which is why it sucks so much. LOSE CONTROL GOT REALLY COOL THO. My favorite parts are the "let it go" parts, both have so much flow in them and fit the fx style I have for once. 3D is fun, but not if I have to do it for 30 seconds :'DIt was really fun to edit reLIFE though, I should do it more often. Caught up with the Tangled Series. I really liked the pilot which I watched back in April, and I was like "hey are there actually episodes now" and so I started watching. The first episode was promising, and then came the filler episodes. But most of them were lovely and some were really, really interesting. The Science Festival thing was very sweet as I think, since it primarly featured my two favorite characters. Varian and Cassie... cassi? Cassy? ANYWAY.The midseason finale had me quite emotional, especially with all the tension. Honestly though, protect this freaking teenager. He's such a sweetheart, as he proofs especially in the Sciene Expo thing (also I think he has a crush on cass and I find it really cute, I really hope that if he gets a villain plot that she's the one to break through to him) and he didn't deserve to suffer so bad. Although the situation was really complicated of course and there was nothing Rapunzel could have done, it was still so tragic. The voice actor was freaking great. I'm afraid to hear my local dub omg X'DoAnyway, a while back moonshadow edited this song and I was like "I've heard that" and I've kinda had it in my end so then I saw this opportunity and decided to screw more studying I could do and spend my time editing. I have a little less stress until december than I had the last few weeks, so I'm hoping that I can do a few more valin edits.
