From Seacrest Studios intern to Child Life Specialist, Jackie's story came full circle when we launched programming at Cohen Children's Medical Center in Queens, NY.
In the spring of 2022, Jackie was finishing her undergrad studies at The Catholic University of America and interning in Seacrest Studios at Children's National Hospital. With a passion for child life services, she later began her Masters at Bank Street College of Education.
In the Fall of 2023, our paths crossed again, as she completed her 600-hour Child Life Internship at Cohen Children’s Medical Center. During this internship, she experienced the opening of Seacrest Studios and participated in opening festivities! Before her internship ended, she had the opportunity to bring one of her patients to the studio; a beautiful full-circle moment.
With her Child Life internship now completed, Jackie has accepted her first job as a Child Life Specialist at The Children's Hospital at Montefiore and will be graduating from Bank Street College of Education in the spring.
