This is just getting the player structs to behave and the controllers split up.
Unfortunately spawning 4 players is causing weird NaN camera behavior, but spawning 5 players works... Still figuring that out.
There is a LOT to do to get multiple screens, and even then it will probably run awful. So don't get your hopes up on this. It'll be interesting to see if we can even make a 4P battle mode as JMan wanted.
Also it seems to control the 'general rotation' that shadow starts in, then the other RotXYZ values are for tweaking for upside down splines etc.

My best guess is, since objects spawn at origin, there is a pending target item waiting there, thus Knuckles goes wild.
Also, interestingly it seems P1's camera is what determines what angle the partner will attack from, which is why Knuckles ends up breaking an object after I rotate the camera a bit.
You can try this build now, just be aware its extremely primitive. I may not be able to get back to this project for a bit, so figured it was worth releasing as a pre-release.

Note this is still 400% OC because the new collision has an intense CPU requirement with all the new calculations it must make with complex collisions.
This was the first successful test with objects not removed. In addition, its with the GUN Soldier (enemy) everywhere layout, which is the most intensive on the game.

Still lot of progress before its ready
verifying for integration with shadowrando randomizing enemies/weapons
Most of the enemies swapped did spawn, but some did not or broke (the BkNinja mid-air).
Gold Worm, Blue worms, did not spawn (bad params).
Some of the hawks malfunctioned.
But overall when the issues are ironed out this can be integrated as a rando option.
It will be a bit less chaotic since we still have to make sure missions are passable (so GUN pools may only randomize with GUN enemies, for example).
Weapons should be easy enough with 64mb, but obviously rip console.
Use custom playback speed of 0.4 if you want normal speed, but nothing much is going on.

Nothing too crazy, but we do get a Black Doom outtake.
A lot of shader issues (some godot shader specific, they look fine in Blender). For now I am ignoring visual stuff in favor of implementing game logic first.
I finished all the rooms + base collision (there will be fixes needed), and then started portal connections for a few rooms, with their doors. Scalable interaction system is done.
Player Camera culling (to cut things behind player obstructing view), Inventory system, Time system, NPC (wander logic), Mood Mini-game, Mission System (including random events, guest events etc) is next.
If you are somehow reading this description, yes I am going to port this map as a Shadow the Hedgehog stage for the "how to make custom levels in shadow", this is a Shadow channel after all.
* Or I guess I should say, one less stutter type. @JYR34689 pointed out 8x SSAA still causes lag from the FX at the bottom of Westopolis intro. This is not technically a 'stutter' where the JIT clears - but I can see how it is perceived as such since its not great user experience. The JIT clear issue is fixed in the new Dolphin builds. Maybe some day GPU optimization or something for 8x SSAA.
