In this new video essay, I explore why scientific materialism has become a dead religion—and why we need a new worldview rooted in consciousness, psychedelics, and idealism.

In this piece, I argue that scientific materialism has become the secular religion of our age, shaping capitalism, consumerism, and technology—but also leading us into nihilism and collapse.

Drawing on my own journey through shamanic traditions, psychedelic research, Jungian psychology, and the philosophies of thinkers like Amit Goswami, Rudolf Steiner, and Ian Stevenson, I explore the paradigm of idealism: the view that consciousness, not matter, is the ground of reality.

From the psychedelic renaissance to quantum physics, from reincarnation studies to the failures of the Left, I show why we must move beyond both obsolete religious doctrines and dead-end materialism. What emerges, in my view, is the possibility of a new, open-ended, post-secular spirituality—playful, collaborative, and rooted in the direct exploration of consciousness.
