This week we take a brief break from restoring our old stone cottage to put a few things in place that will hopefully make life a bit cheaper for our future selves.
We'd love to make our little plot of land sustainable in the future, so we are learning a lot about home grown vegetables, and how to successfully grow our own food, from scratch, with no experience.
We are waiting on materials so we can replace our roof, so we take the time to also find a way to heat our little off grid wooden cabin for next to nothing.
All these little changes and ideas will hopefully save us some money in the future, as will our next big challenge, reroofing our house ourselves! Stay tuned to see if we can DIY it, it's probably going to be our biggest challenge so far!
