MAKE YOUR OWN CANTEEN CUP LID

Today I make a lid for my military issue "Arctic Canteen Cup" given to me by " Cheezehead Chris" youtube.com/user/haywardcheezehead Cheeze is a funny guy from Wisconsin that enjoys the outdoors and cooking food... check him out!

I carefully cut the bottom out of an old aluminum cake pan, then rolled the edges to form a lip. Lastly, I put a simple handle on it using some scrap from the pan and a key ring. It ain't pretty, but it works.

A lid not only protects the contents from ash, leaves and bugs, it also helps speed up the time it takes to boil water.

Thanks "Cheezehead Chris" for thinking about me!!!! This will come in handy for future "Canteen Cup Tuesday" videos!
