(22) Robur safe deposit box lock with gin spools picked and gutted Mokis Locksport 2022-08-01 | Definitely a tough lock, though I might have been confused with my try to explain the more difficult interaction with sidebar and main stacks. Essentially I found it harder to set the whole sidebar because of heavy ping ponging, so setting and dropping pins over and over again. Also a last tip, make sure you can comfortable set a side pin high enough with your tool in case you have a max lift on them. (12) Tutorial - How to gut double euro cylinder with segmented followers Mokis Locksport 2020-08-30 | Hey folks, I hope this video can help a few people to gut their locks without cutting them in half. Please remember, this is all very basic, there are so many different locks, its not possible to make a all-in-one tutorial. What I forgot to mention, the inner diameter of the core housing can differ as well. A lot of standard euros have the same, but in the Abus Bravus series for example the diameter is bigger, therefore the segmented follower from the video won't work very well in them. Because a lot of people might ask it, I want to give you the answere right here; I used the HUK 12 piece disassembly kit in the video. I will not post a link here but you will find when you search for it. You get a good selection of gutting tools in one set. If you have access to a 3D-Printer, you can basically print everything you need by yourself. (10) Yale Superior (9 pins + 4 sliders) explored, picked and gutted Mokis Locksport 2020-08-16 | Hey folks, I hope you like the closer look at the yale superior. Quite a fun lock, my first one with sliders and I learned quite a lot from it. I forgot to mention, that I use a wiper insert tensioner and you might have seen, that I am bouncing a bit setting the sliders. I felt that this was more effective than just simply push them. One thing to add for the sidebar. I tried to point out that you have to overcome the spring tension itself to set the sidebar. Not like in the DOM ix6 SR where the side bar just drops as soon as you set the interactive pin. This video is a little thank you for stuff he sent me and what can be a better honour than pick a lock from him, with a pick he made and gut it with his tray and follower;-)As a little correction for the keypins; I am not really sure if they count as tapered per definition. They are slightly tapered but maybe this is just for a better interaction between key- and driver pins and the the core turning inside the body. (4) DOM ix5 kg picked and gutted Mokis Locksport 2020-07-04 | In this little video I show you the DOM ix5 kg, a very cool lock because of these rattlesnake pins and the interactive element. Sadly they couldn't hit in with full power. In a szenario with very high set pins you have to pick more than one ring on them and that combines this spool behaviour with serrated pin feeling. I maybe missed a few thinks, for example to show you the lockbody and the grooves in there, where the sidebar locks up when a key with the right bitting but wrong key control cuts is used.Second, I counted three grooves while looking for the actuator.
