Procrastination Proves Productive! Getting ALL The Things Made in July & August 2024 :: Look Book :: Kittenish Behaviour 2024-09-05 | Hey Peeps! I'm mostly pleased with everything I have sewn up over the last couple of months. Whilst theoretically I do like everything I do think some of the knit pieces are not looking the best on me at the moment. I think maybe the Wanted Tee would be better with longer sleeve (had fabric allowed) and the bright green pieces are a gorgeous colour maybe not quite right for me at the moment. That being said they do not take up much room and I may change my mind in the future so they are staying. I LOVE all the woven pieces especially the dresses. I think the denim skirt is Amy next favourite though. This fabric has intimidated me for ages for two reasons. First; I wanted to make sure that I was making the "right" thing with it that would get worn and suit me. Second; I thought it would be an absolute nightmare to work with! Actually it wasn't that bad and ended up being quite fun!! I definitely think the calico pattern pieces were a game changer for me. How To Draft A Lining For A Cowl Neck Top With A Grown On Facing :: Vogue 9006 Sew-Along Kittenish Behaviour 2024-06-29 | Hey Peeps! I always love finding a top that is easy to make, suits me, and doesn't take too much fabric! The Vogue 9006 ticks all of those boxes BUT I wasn't loving the visible top stitching that was needed to finish the armholes and hemline. Me being me I decided to fully line it and a few of you asked for a tutorial so here you are! I believe this tutorial will work for any kind of top with a grown on facing but if you come across one that has you scratching your head just let me know in the comments and I'll see if I can help you puzzle it out! I really love the little Lekala cap sleeves I've added for the warmer weather we are currently having but I think I'm going to trying adding the long bishop style sleeves with the centre back zip for when it cools down a little! Sewing Up Some TNTs To Make Me Feel Happy :: May 2024 Look Book Kittenish Behaviour 2024-06-20 | Hey Peeps! The sewing studio is definitely my happy place and it was a lot of fun just being able to sew all these projects up because I knew they would fit (although I appreciate a few are on the tight side looking back at the clips!).T'N'T (tried and true) sewing is something I do indulge in a lot because when you spend a lot of time making something it's nice to know it will be a success at the end! I do really like everything I made in May, I think the only "fail" was perhaps the striped chambray co-ord. I think this is mainly down to the colour! Watching the twirls back I like the silhouette on me but it's reading very pastel and I think I look better in more saturated bright colours! I'm not giving up on the striped "Halston" skirt....I just need to find the right fabric!! Active Wear!! :: I Need To Make These Up But What Fabric Should I Use? :: Pattern Collections Kittenish Behaviour 2024-03-27 | Hey Peeps! I really want to start working out again, I miss feeling good in my body and the added bonus of being able to fit in to all the clothes I make will be nice too! I want to ease back in to things with low impact activities like swimming, moving on to the cross trainer and possibly even some weights! Walking is not an option for me (at least at the moment) I have issues with both my knees and hips and we do not live somewhere flat!
