If you add a tube of liquid charcoal, they are just perfect for portraits. With these colors, you can mix any skin tone, using the academic technique called "aux trois crayons" or "aux quatre crayons". Portraits are so easy that, once again, is almost like cheating! On Schminke website, you can read the following description: "The vegan liquid charcoals and earths, available in a total of 6 colours are ideal for a clean, dust-free approach to painting, drawing and underpainting.
