The Most Eventful Day We Have Ever Had On Our Narrowboat Minimal List 2023-05-16 | #shorts Have you seen our lates vlog? So many things went wrong on this day. Jo and George couldn't cross the weir to the first lock and had to walk for two miles to the next one. We had a near miss with a bridge and a boat Michael clanged his finger on one of the lock wheels, we got delayed by a work boat which lead to us getting caught in a thunder and hail storm. Oh and it took us four hours to get through the last lock of the day. Day 005 || A Breakdown and a Disastrous Mooring Minimal List 2023-05-10 | I am still experimenting with this new style of video and being totally honest I am not happy with todays edit. I also had some audio issues that made editing the first half of the video really hard. I learnt a lot with this vlog and will keep improving. I did think twice about putting this video out but there are some really funny momnets and some real issues that we had with navigating on a river in the wind that people may find interesting. It doesn't help that we are having really long cruising days, I end up with far too much footage so I am going to try and film less to help with the editing time and the pace of the video. Day 001 || Eberspacher Service and Leaving our Mooring! Minimal List 2023-05-05 | This video was filmed on 4th May 2023. We are heading to the Crick Boat Show at the end of the month. It is a a 140 mile, 74 lock journey so it will take us the full three weeks. As it is our one big trip out on the boat this year we decided we would vlog it & also vlog us preparing for the show. We Ran out of Fuel Minimal List 2023-04-28 | Now we've finished editing the 446 vlogs around the network we wanted to switch up the way we film and edit our cruising videos, we definitely developed/ fell into a bit of a formula and I wanted to change things up. I started experimenting a bit in this video, I'm not completely happy with the results but it is definitely a step in the right direction. George Goes to the Beach and Never Wants to Leave #shorts Minimal List 2023-04-05 | In case anyone is wondering if George enjoyed his holiday to the Norfolk coast here is the answer. He got to walk for miles along the beaches at low tide and was in his salty / sandy element. It has to be said that he didn’t enjoy the post walk showers!We also both really enjoyed being by the sea again. We lived at the beach for almost three years in New Zealand and then Los Angeles, I know we live in water now but hearing the waves is quite special. EPISODE 013 || Narrowboat Renovation Update Minimal List 2023-03-26 | Our boat reservation project became much bigger than we had expected it to. As our lives became increasingly out of control something had to give and that was the renovation videos. It has been pretty hard to look at the footage again as we were having such a rough time but because we went to the effort of filming the work I thought it would be a really shame not to put the videos out. Narrowboating Through an 800 Year Old University! Minimal List 2023-03-12 | Back in November 2021 we had just finished our narrowboat journey around the whole system and we were beginning the renovations on our boat! Simon invited us down to Cambridge on his boat Scholar Gypsy for a tour of the Cambridge Backs. You can only take powered boats on these waters in the winter months and so when we visited in July we could only go as far as Jesus Lock so we jumped at the chance. 446 - The Final Flight of Narrowboat Perseverance Minimal List 2023-02-26 | This is our last video of our quest to visit the whole of the integrated waterways Network of England and Wales. In this video, after four years, five months and seven days, and 3724 miles and 2567 locks we come up the Northampton flight and complete our journey. We have been everywhere. 429 - Dont Make the Same Mistakes as Us! Minimal List 2022-07-24 | I'm still working hard to finish this series of videos from the Middle Level Navigations and River Nene. Looking on the positive side there is something really nice about looking back on a journey we did almost a year ago. A• As of October 2021 we have finished our journey to visit every waterway on the connected system but we still have a back lock of videos to edit. For this reason we are uploading a cruising video each week till we finish the journey. In November 2021 we started a project to renovate our Narrowboat and as there was a lot of interest in is filming this we decided to alternate the renovations with the old cruising videos. We also aim to get one renovation video up each week until the cruising videos are finished. Q• Why do you speed up some of the footage in your videos?A• We don't, we film it as time-lapse footage. We do not have the battery capacity or data storage to film in real time as our cruises can last up to 7 or 8 hours. We use to the time-lapse footage to help tell the story of movement rather than showcase the scenery. We limit the amount of time-lapse shots we use in each vlog.Q• Why are your video's so behind?A• We would love to release all our video's in the same week that we film them but that isn't possible for us. 427 - Middle Level Madness Minimal List 2022-06-10 | Apologies that there has been such a delay in posting videos as you probably know we have been very busy working on our boat to get it liveable again after embarking on a much bigger renovation than we planned. I am determined to finish our cruising series on the Middle Level Navigations and River Nene to Gayton Junction where we finish our quest to go everywhere on the connected network. I think we have about 10 more videos to go. I has have lots of footage from the renovations to edit and uplode.This video takes us back to August 2021 when we were making our way across the Middle Level. If you make it to the Crown Jewel talk well done, I was crying laughing when i was editing the footage as I had completely forgotten the conversation.
