The rival interactions are first, followed by item hit/receive lines (1:51:31)
I grouped it so that each player character (show in the background) goes through every other character's dialogues. The order is based on the in-game character selection screen!

I've already collected all these dialogues from the other dubbing languages (Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian) and I'll make them into videos just like this one. I'm also planning to upload all of the voice clips to The Sounds Resource in the near future, so keep an eye out there.
Huge thanks to @thesupersonic16 who found the HCA decryption keys for this game. Without them, it would've been impossible to extract all these sounds!
Also special thanks for @TopHatLucario for letting me render this on his PC :3
You can find the behind-the-scenes info in the English version's description.

Because of head-scratching technical problems, I had to render this in three parts, a side effect of that is the text-wrap-style changing at 31:22. Sorry!

I made this video using *Motion Canvas*! I was able to learn it very quickly despite never yielding before, I just with it didn't take so long to render... This took almost 10 hours and I couldn't even choose a higher bitrate. I'll try exporting as image sequence next time. Would anyone be interested in the source code?
Also, the subtitles should be exactly the same as the on-screen text in the video, in case you want to search in the transcript.

How does this work: The Wii U browser loads a webpage from my server and sends back Websocket messages to a Python script that controls the mouse. Works on unhacked Wii U.
For context on how this came about:
So, there's a little program called UsendMii - it promises to let you use your Wii U Gamepad as a PC controller. And to give it some credit, for some button inputs, it works really well, the latency is unnoticeable to me. But wanting to mess around with DS and 3DS emulators, I really wanted to use the Gamepad to get the true "resistive touchscreen" feeling that's hard to come by nowadays.
The program teases this function pretty well: you're given a live preview of the touchscreen input, but as it turns out, all you can do with it is map rectangular zones to simulated keyboard presses, similar to when you're running an emulator on your phone. The general concept for the program is great! But this tiny little detail gets so close, but not quite there, and it ruins the whole thing, so I made my own.
And yeah, it all works without having to hack your Wii U! (though don't quote me on that, since I don't really have an unhacked Wii U to try this out on.)
Of course, this works with anything on your PC, since it just simulates mouse movements. Feel free to use it with Citra, CEMU or any of your other touch-screen needs. Though, again, this is just a proof of concept.

Welcome to my annual music upload! I made this over two years ago (summer 2020) back on my old laptop, and then shelved it โ wanting to add more variations in the second loop and onwards, and maybe a sax solo. Sadly I never got around to it, so I decided to try that stuff out in my next transcription instead, and just release this as is.

I make way more music than you can see here on YouTube. Once I'm done with a track, making a video for it feels way too tedious to do, and it's often a whole new project itself which I don't want to start. That being said, if you're curious about what I've been up to, I put my music here! m-a-t-o.bandcamp.com/music (You'll probably want to check out the Covers and Remixes section first)

I'm trying out OBS for capturing video, because in this case, the framerate is more important than the resolution. I'm really trying to get as much performance as possible from my notebook. Tell me what you think about the quality in the comments!
I made this remix 4 months ago. While playing Mega Man 2, when I first heard this song, I really liked it and started thinking about how I could remix it to make it sound even better, while using the same hardware. I tried using Famitracked before, but I had no idea how to use it so I put it away for a while. Then, about a year ago, I came across this video [ youtube.com/watch?v=Pf5y4SLET4Y ] which shows a track from VVVVVV covered in Famitracker, which inspired me to give it another chance and learn how to use it. I also watch 8-bit Music Theory's video on the composition side of Mega Man music, and began to make my remix.
I realized that it would be hard to have decent drum kit sounds with NES's basic sound chip, the 2a03, so I used an expansion chip from Namco, N163. I didn't need all 5 channels, but the way the chip lets me use custom waveforms really helped me with adding extra instruments and harmonies. I used the 2a03's pulse tracks for the melody, trying to make it sound as close to the original. [ youtube.com/watch?v=N4VtxWRfPOk ]
For the drums, I loaded the DPCM channel with 5 samples that I got from FL Studio's pre-installed packs, which took up 7kb after converting. It was a challenge to get the best kick drum sound, but I ended up with a very punchy and deep kick. Still, the DPCM channel was very quiet, and pretty noisy. That's why I combined it with the Noise and N163 tracks to get a decent sound. For easy orientation, they're next to each other: Noise, DPCM and Namco track 1. In some places I also doubled the sound to Namco 3. The bass is made up from the Triangle wave track and Namco 2, which has a deep saw sound. The pad, or the background filling tone is placed in Namco 4, and it has a slow timbre to be more cool.
An interesting part is quickly moving the melody from 2a03 to N163 between the frames 12 and 13. I wanted to use the Pulse tracks for the echoed background melody, but I still had to finish the main melody, so I made a N163 instrument that sounds really close to the 25% Pulse instrument. (You can't use the same instrument settings for different sound chips, because they work differently.) It sounded a bit noisy, but that's okay, because I needed to use it only for a few notes.
To spice things up, I added a break at frame 14 with a nice drum solo, and there are some low intensity sections at frames 8 and 1C. (Frames can be seen in the top left black square) They make anticipation for the next parts of the song.
I decided that I'll make the MP3 for this available at 12 likes (Reached!) and I'll upload the Famitracker exported text at 24 likes (Reached!). Thanks for listening!
Update: 25. 2. - Reached 12 likes! MP3 now available at instaud.io/1orq (with panned Pulse channels).

Song: Title screen
Developer: Sunsoft
System: NES
Sunsoft games have an awesome use of NES's DPCM channel, and use it for bass instead of drums that are usually used for this channel, for example in SMB3. In this case, the drums are in the triangle wave and noise channel.
I split the NSF file and rendered every channel separately, to show you how it works. I just put each track in FL Studio and added Wave Candy to show you the shape of the waveforms. There's also a spectral visualization in the top right corner.

- Android 2.3 and 5.1 (HTC Desire S and Xperia Z3)
- Nintendo DS running Moonshell
- Windows 8.0
- Yamaha PSR E-303 keyboard
- An old phone, Sony Ericsson T630
with a short MIDI. I recorded everything except T630 directly through the audio output.
=== Results: ======
1. The original song | Splattack by Nintendo
2. Custom Android soundfont | App: MIDI Voyager
Sounds very realistic and has awesome drums.
3. Built-in soundfont of Moonshell | Homebrew DS
It has great guitar samples, even with DS limitations.
4. Yamaha PSR E-303 and its built-in soundfont
This one has intentionally reduced midtones
and it sounds great from the keyboard's speakers.
5. Built-in Windows soundfont
It sounds pretty flat and it's used too much, especially here.
Made by Roland in 1996, in Windows since Win98.
6. Soundfont in Sony Ericsson T630
The bass is barely audible because the phone doesn't
have a normal headphone output. I had to record
the phone's mono speaker with a mic next to it.
7. Android's built-in soundfont
This one sounds like it's made for classical music.
Everything has too much reverb, too.
It's same in Android 2.3 Gingerbread and 5.1 Lollipop.

It stutters a bit around 5:38. Sorry for that.
If you want the unprocessed source video I uploaded, or even the raw Fraps recordings, tell me. (944 MB / 4+2 GB splitted)
Note: I recorded it in 1366ร768. (That's roughly 720p on YouTube.) I upscaled it so YouTube gives it higher bitrate when compressing. If you upload and view the resized video and the same video in original resolution side by side on YouTube, both set to 720p60, the resized one should look a lot better.
Alternatively, if you can't get out of the old Flash YouTube player, add &feature=html5_3d instead.
If you are on a smartphone, your YouTube app should take care of this for you.
