The chaos, the noise, the endless stupidity — it’s a lot. But strength doesn’t mean clenching your fists and fighting everything that comes your way. It means being steady enough to let the nonsense crash against you without letting it take you down. That’s what I mean by letting go without giving in — staying calm, clear, and grounded, even when the world is ridiculous. In this video, we’ll talk about how to “be the rock” in a way that keeps your sanity intact and your health from falling apart. #LettingGo #Resilience #MentalStrength #StayGrounded #BeTheRock #calminchaos

Because the truth is, if we wait for the world to calm down before we allow ourselves to be happy, we’ll be waiting forever. So I turned to philosophy, a little Gandalf wisdom, and even Jimmy Buffett’s Bubbles Up for perspective. Sometimes it’s the small everyday things — the laughter, the coffee, the music, the kindness — that remind us which way is up. And that’s what gets us through.

That’s why I’m starting a new series of short midweek reminders — little pauses to help us reset and breathe. We live in a world that constantly tells us to go faster, do more, and never stop. But sometimes, the healthiest thing you can do is give yourself permission to pause. In this short midweek reflection, I’m sharing the power of doing nothing: my own morning ritual of coffee on the porch, sitting still, and simply being. When life feels overwhelming, this small act of breathing space can reset your mind, protect your health, and help you move through the chaos with more clarity. If you’ve been feeling stretched too thin, maybe it’s time to reclaim a little space for yourself. ✨ Take a moment. Breathe
#stressrelief #mindfulness #selfcareIs Kindness Dead? The Truth About Why It Feels That WaySimply Resilient Me2025-09-15 | Is kindness dead? Some days it feels like it. Between constant outrage online, division in our communities, and everyday stress, kindness can seem like an endangered species.
But here’s the truth: kindness isn’t gone - it’s just quieter. And we get to decide whether we let it fade, or bring it back.
In this video, I talk about: -The ripple effect of kindness vs. cruelty -Why kindness feels risky in today’s world -Ancient wisdom (Stoics, Buddhists, Taoists) on kindness -What happens if we let kindness die -Practical ways to keep kindness alive, even when it’s hard

#kindness #philosophy #lifeStop People Pleasing and Take Back Your LifeSimply Resilient Me2025-09-08 | Are you exhausted from always putting everyone else first? In this video, we’re talking about how to stop people pleasing and take back your life.
For years, I said “yes” when I really meant “no.” I carried other people’s emotions, volunteered out of guilt, and bent over backward to keep everyone comfortable — while losing myself in the process. Sound familiar? Here’s the truth: people pleasing looks like kindness, but it actually drains your energy, builds resentment, and chips away at your self-worth. The good news? You can break the habit.
In this video, I’ll share: ☕ Why people pleasing happens (and why it’s so hard to stop) ☕ The hidden costs — burnout, resentment, and loss of self ☕ What happens when you finally set boundaries ☕ How to start saying “yes” only when you mean it
Carl Jung once said, “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” And that privilege starts when you stop living for everyone else and start reclaiming your time, energy, and peace. If you’ve been feeling drained, overwhelmed, or stuck in the cycle of people pleasing — this one’s for you. ✨ Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share if this resonates. It can be fuel, it can be righteous, and sometimes—it’s completely justified. But when anger takes over, it drains your peace, your health, and your clarity. And let’s be honest—anger is everywhere right now, and it’s exhausting. In this video, I’m talking about what anger does to us, why we hold onto it, and how to process it in a way that protects your peace without losing your edge. From the news to the cost of groceries to the unfairness of life, it’s easy to feel consumed by outrage. I’ll share practical ways to deal with anger, along with a little Stoic philosophy, some Buddhist wisdom, and my own take on why we all seem so addicted to outrage these days. We all love the idea of comfort zones — cozy, safe, predictable. But here’s the problem: comfort zones don’t actually protect you, they trap you. Staying stuck might feel easier in the moment, but over time it slowly destroys your growth, your confidence, and your joy. In this video, I’m breaking down why comfort zones are so dangerous, why personal growth feels uncomfortable at first, and how you can finally break free without losing your sanity. If you’ve ever wondered why change feels hard — or why playing it safe still feels miserable — this one’s for you.

From mass detention centers to the quiet erasure of rights, this moment in history is shaping us whether we like it or not. Drawing on insights from Marcus Aurelius, Carl Jung, Hannah Arendt, and Buddhism, this reflection asks: Are we becoming the people we say we are?

I decided it was time to try a healthier cookie makeover. But not just any recipe—I turned to AI for help. I’ll walk you through why I wanted a lower-sugar, higher-protein option, the ingredients I had on hand, and how I tested ChatGPT’s recipe to see if it could actually deliver a delicious, traditional-tasting cookie. We’re putting AI’s baking skills to the ultimate test. The only parameters I give them were I wanted it higher protein, and I wanted it to use Bake Believe Brand chocolate chips because that's what I had, (dark and semisweet). a monk fruit/allulose blend of sweetener, and a molasses to mimic the depth of brown sugar.
I thought they were okay.....my son, husband and my son's girlfriend all said they were good, but my husband thought they needed more chocolate chips....I'd agree with that. If you try them, let me know what you think.
Should I try more AI recipes? Trust them, or not?
This all comes directly from the ChatGPT page...
Ingredients: Dry Ingredients:
1 ½ cups almond flour ½ cup oat flour (or more almond flour for grain-free) ¼ cup whey or plant-based protein powder (vanilla or unflavored) ½ tsp baking soda ¼ tsp salt Wet Ingredients:
¼ cup butter, softened (or coconut oil for dairy-free) ¼ cup monk fruit/allulose blend 1 tsp molasses (adds the “brown sugar” flavor without much sugar) 1 large egg (room temperature) 1 tsp vanilla extract Mix-Ins: ½ cup Bake Believe chocolate chips
Instructions: Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, oat flour, protein powder, baking soda, and salt. Cream the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, use a hand mixer or whisk to cream the softened butter, monk fruit/allulose blend, and molasses until light and fluffy. Then mix in the egg and vanilla extract. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. The dough will be soft but should hold together. If it's too sticky, chill it for 15–20 minutes. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the Bake Believe chocolate chips Scoop and Shape: Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough balls onto the lined baking sheet. Flatten slightly with your hand or a fork, as these cookies won’t spread much. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are just golden.
