Any of these custom inputs that you make, you will be able to use directly in the HAVF Profile feature within Onshape, to create easily scalable airfoil geometry.

holbrookaerospace.com/product/album-2Speed Modeling F1 Front Wing In OnshapeHolbrook Aerospace2024-08-06 | Here I am trying to model an F1 wing in Onshape using the new HAVF Profile feature, developed as a collaboration between Holbrook Aerospace and Onshape.
Leveraging the ability to implicitly create an airfoil between two points, I can quickly create 4 wing sections that are always perfectly spaced apart, and thanks to HAVF, is also completely parametric. So not only is it quickly to model, its quick to adjust (no fiddling with chord values for the perfect gap).
Using my book, it was easy to find a suitable airfoil, because I was able to browse all airfoils that had the desired 5% camber.

holbrookaerospace.com/product/album-2HAVF (Holbrook Airfoil Vector Format) Onshape Feature TutorialHolbrook Aerospace2024-07-29 | Those familiar with the RCTF propeller design competition will know that our template was used as a base for the competition. I was happy to see that so many people liked it, and actually used it to create and submit their designs.
But, the template we provided was no where near ideal. It required you to use a pre-made custom input table. The table was easy to break, and not very smooth to use. Placing the vectors correctly in it without writing over equations was not always easy.
This tool makes the whole process smoother. Just chose a line, and pick and airfoil, and you are done. You have exactly the airfoil you want. If you need more airfoils, or you would like to support the HAVF airfoil, you can buy my book here. But, the current feature in Onshape is free, partly because of how eager the people at Onshape were to work with my on it. Thanks Greg and Ignacio. It's because of them that Onshape is the first openly available CAD program that works with HAVF airfoil vectors.

This book includes a write up detailing the method openly, and also include a library of approximately 1575 airfoils that you can instantly import into any cad software that uses bezier splines, or any optimization tool that works in the same language. This tool can speed up CAD work by an order of magnitute. Coupled with a complatible design method, optimized designs can simple be copy and pasted from optimized text file output to CAD, because the language is powerful enough to full constrain a complex 5 section wing or propeller with far less than the 200 coordinates that would be required to define a traditional high res airfoil DAT file.

The print wasn't far of the CAD CG, which was dead center, and was easily balanced in those two axis in about 15 min. But, it can also be assumed the longitudinal CG of the blades has been printed of just as the disk plane CG was slightly off due to printing variances. This test show how balancing with a conventional manual propeller balancer is not enough for counter weight propellers. Either repeated guess and check with a test stand like this, or some type of dynamic balancer would be best. Although applying tape or putty to achieve balance could be a more technically challenging experience than balancing a conventional propeller, especially without a computer, or a large amount of experience.
