AdamCrossing 2024-05-15 | hi, its been a while. im going to be honest, my motivation for doing anything anymore has been nearly completely depleted with everything thats going on in my life. i dont want to burden everyone or go into detail here, so ill just leave it at that. im still working on projects, albeit very slowly but its getting there. its been months since i posted anything here so i thought id share a little music doodle i made with a little update on how things are going. i might continue sharing my little doodles here, i dont care about the youtube algorithm anymore i just want to post what i want without the fear of going off track with my usual 'quality'.
im sorry if its not the most prettiest thing visually,, but i do work really hard on how my stuff sounds; im constantly working on improving my abilities, lately ive been working on my composition and melody writing - like this one. i still need to step out of my comfort zone a bit and try out new things, since every now and then i listen back to what i make before and usually am not really satisfied with how it sounds, and then i get the feeling that a lot of my songs sound the same.
anyway, just know that im still working hard and i really want to share more of my original works. thank you everyone for everything, i genuinely love you all so much.

Wii Final Destination (Super Smash Bros. Brawl) Rock/Orchestra Cover | AdamCrossing

AdamCrossing 2023-08-03 | IM EXCITED FOR THIS ONE this has to be my best arrangement yet!! im extremely proud of how this came out!!
brawl's final destination will always be my favourite of the series,, the instrumentation and motifs and everything is just great. honestly i might just say that this is my favourite video game song ever.
fun fact,, i used over 50+ mixer tracks for this and i had to close like everything on my computer except for my daw in order for playback to be barrable, since this was so demanding on my ram.

Rainbow Road (Mario Kart Wii) Rock/Synth Cover - AdamCrossing

AdamCrossing 2023-03-02 | im very happy to present my first ORIGINAL arrangement onto my youtube!! my previous arrangements were moreso inspired by video games, but this one is in my own style!! this style is definitely my favourite type of music to arrange, so expect more like this from me!! i really love electric guitars and synths, im sure this shows that. i also blended in some orchestral aspects, i love those colourful strings with those powerful brass sections,, it fits really nicely in a song like rainbow road!!

Gusty Garden Galaxy Fusion (Super Mario Galaxy)

AdamCrossing 2022-12-29 | as with the previous fusion videos of mine, this is another solo project meaning that all of the parts/arrangements and logos are made by myself.

hiii uhhh yeah i made another one. instead of doing another wii related song for a fusion video, i instead chose a different series which is one of my favourites: mario! specifically super mario galaxy, because i like that game a lot. the soundtrack is amazing too, and so i decided to go with the one i think is most iconic: gusty garden galaxy. my previous two fusion videos were around 120bpm, and gusty garden galaxy is 152bpm, so it gave me more of an opportunity to use songs i couldnt really use before, since some songs sound a bit weird at a lower tempo. this also meant that slower songs would sound a bit out of wack at a higher tempo. im kind of rambling now haha

this project took me 28 whole days - which is almost a month! basically double the time it took me to complete the other two fusion videos. i think that its very fun to see a song being arranged in so many different styles; this time this video has 40!! i hope you all dont mind i reused some sources from the previous videos, i just love those songs a lot. but dont worry, over half of them are new ones!!

Snow Overworld (New Super Mario Bros. Wii) - Wii Music

i havent really found any time to make any new wii music videos lately since ive been working on a lot other projects (which will soon to be released here, hopefully). i still enjoy making wii music videos, its just that i think it got a bit stale after doing it for so long,, so wanted to step out of my comfort zone a little bit and upload some other projects ive done such as the fusion videos.
anyway, i hope to upload more wii music soon; espacially november-december with more handbell harmony videos and the traditional mii maestro videos for christmas.

i had a random spark of motivation to make another one of these videos,, i was really proud of how the roll to the goal one turned out. i tried to not reuse too many songs from the previous fusion,, but theres still a few, i hope thats no biggie. wii sports resort's title screen music and it's fancy chords made making the parts for this kinda tricky,, but i think it all came along alright... i hope.

i had this idea ever since that megalovania wii music vid i did in late 2019,, but it was very hard to make it sound good because of how plain the wii music melody is so it was making it really hard lol. wii music's melody has a lot of empty spaces between notes, while megalovania's is basically constantly playing whatever. with a lot of trial and error i think i got it to sound somewhat okay.
i was very hesitant to upload this because again, i only want wii music related content on my channel but i mean i guess this is related to wii music because its literally the song. just not gameplay of the game. idk.
yeah i dont really have much to say about this,, idk i worked really hard on this.
i guess you can call this my official theme song hahaaaaaa

anyway so uhh i made this song back in 2019,, wanted to remake this since i like the song a lot. i noticed a lot of errors in the 2019 rendition so and so i fixed them here {:
i used the basic drums in the older version,, idk why since the drums used in the original is CLEARLY A JAZZ KIT. sounds a lot better with the jazz drums lol hmm i wonder why. for the harmony, the galactic guitar didnt really sound good on the high notes so i just went the nsmbu route and used a violin. ALSO WHY DID I USE AN ELECTRIC BASS RATHER THAN AN UPRIGHT

well uhh yeah ig thats it,, this prolly be one of the only songs ill remaster. i really like this song and i wanted it to actually sound decent in wii music lol,, really goes to show that over time youll get better at things or something idk the saying

Sweet Sweet Canyon (Mario Kart 8) - Wii Music

AdamCrossing 2022-01-05 | wow i really did miss making these wii music videos. so much more fun than the 'other' stuff. this year i want to have a consistent upload schedule,, so im going to try my very best to upload at least once a week. its better than uploading 3 times in one week then going on a 2 month hiatus lol. so yeah, not really any specific time in the week,, just uploads around 7 days apart. hope the algorithm will appreciate it ^^
anyway, ive made this song almost 2 years ago now, but decided not to upload it because i didnt like how it sounded. just recently, this song popped in my head and wanted to make this and upload it, but then i remembered that it sounded awful. i rearranged it in a style that better suits wii music's standards, and turned out better than what it was initially (hmm i wonder why). the past few months ive been experimenting and playing around with settings so i can have my wii music covers sounding even better than before. if you listen to this, and go back to a video by me from like 2019, you can most definitely hear a difference.

AdamCrossing 2021-03-20 | heyo! been a little bit hasnt it? believe it or not, i made this entire video in one day! mainly because this song is extremely simple and what not. making this video was a breeze when it came to actually playing it in game. didnt even break a sweat! well, it got kinda tricky at the piano but i got it.
anyways enough of that, i wanted to make an animal crossing related song because today marks animal crossing new horizons' 1 year anniversary, but the new horizons theme i made back in 2019 sounded like doodoo because it was so long ago and i didnt really know what i was doing. maybe soon i might remake it and upload it.

AdamCrossing 2021-02-21 | just messing around with reverb n stuff and i found this effect where it sounded like it was coming from the inside of a building. thought itd be funny to see how a mii outside of harmony hi-rise would be like lol. i dont really edit videos like this so it was a bit awkward, but eventually ill be able to get it. first time trying something "new" for editing i guess lol
