Happy 9th Year Anniversary to everyone! And thank you so so much to all the people who have supported our edits over the years!

This channel started on July 26th, 2013, and where this video is being uploaded a little late, I am still so extremely proud of everyone who participated in this project, and that worked so hard to pull it together for the anniversary. I can't begin to say how thankful I am especially to the people who took such last minute backups to help out as well, we couldn't have gotten it up in a timely manner without all of your hard work 🙏

Every year I just am so beyond happy that we've been able to create videos for so long, and I hope to be able to continue doing so for more years to come 💕 - We've been able to pull off some pretty cool themes and I have many more ideas I hope to be able to create with everyone in this studio in the future 💕

「DS」Frankenstein [Halloween MEP]

DespairStudios 2021-10-31 | Happy Halloween! 🎃

This year we decided to do something a little different for Halloween, doing a more cutesy style MEP instead of a dark/horror styled one.
When PinkySugar suggested this song and theme to me, I thought it'd be a perfect opportunity to use it for Halloween, where the theme could be building your own monster!
I am so incredibly impressed by all the hard work everyone put into this theme considering it wasn't an easy one, and yet they still all nailed it so perfectly!

This will likely be the last MEP of the year until next February for Valentine's day, so thank you to the members for all your hard work this year, and thank you to all the viewers for giving us encouragement while we worked on the projects this past year. ❤

When first hearing Bella's debut song, I knew I wanted to make a MEP with it revolving around the Danganronpa girls. The thought later came for the theme, where dress up doll games were the main focus. Being able to customize your own character seemed very fitting for this song.

DespairStudios 2021-08-30 | After many many months of this MEP being in the works, I am so happy to finally be able to present it to everyone! I've wanted to edit this song for this studio for years now, and I am happy we finally were able to do so! The song gives off very grunge vibes, so we went with an oversaturated grunge theme with neon doodles to try to pull it off best ❤
A HUUGE thank you to everyone who participated in this MEP! The usage of so much red was a difficult theme to work with, which turned to it being a hard MEP to get completed. So I am so beyond thankful for everyone's hard work to complete this MEP!

「DS」Choke! [8th Year Anniversary MEP]

DespairStudios 2021-07-26 | It feels really surreal to know that this studio has been around for 8 whole years, but I truly couldn't be happier to be able to continue making projects with all of our members. While I don't know how long this studio will continue to run, I hope everyone will continue to enjoy our MEPs as we do.
For this MEP, the theme idea was a character vs their inner self, which I'm really pleased with how it came out in the end!

「DS」Montero [Pride MEP]

DespairStudios 2021-07-06 | June may be over, but it's never too late to celebrate pride!
When Lil Nas x released his song Montero this year, I knew I wanted us to edit with it for pride, especially due to how important (and powerful) this song is for people in the LGBTQ+ community. No matter how others may view this community, you're all loved and appreciated for being yourselves every day!
We wanted to do our best to incorporate the greek, heaven, and hell elements of the music video, which I think we were able to do so ! Old greek paintings played as huge inspo, and the blue of the fire was used instead of red to symbolize hell fire, otherwise we heavily inspired the MEP off of the music video!

DespairStudios 2021-03-02 | A MEP that has been a long time in the making, we present to you our reversed tarot card MEP! Everyone in this MEP picked a reversed tarot card from the major arcana, and picked a character they felt best represented the meaning behind the card.

This MEP is the first uploaded in our new multi-fandom game edits we will be doing here and there from now on! I am super thrilled with how it turned out and can't wait to do more in the future!
For this MEP I wanted to do cutesy ofc, but take a different spin on cute stuff I often see for Valentine's Day. We came up with a fruits theme and I think it turned out absolutely so adorable! 「DS」Game of Survival [Danganronpa 10th Anniversary MEP]

DespairStudios 2020-11-25 | 10 years ago to this date, November 25th, 2010, Danganronpa 1 was first released. To date it has arguably become one of the most popular game series, and to show thanks to this wonderful series, we dedicate this video today to the 10th anniversary of Danganronpa.
We wanted to do something a little special, and not just another standard MEP, so we decided recreating the trials from the main 3 Danganronpa games would be an absolutely perfect way to celebrate the anniversary.
As a studio, we have been able to make wonderful MEPs to this wonderful game series for over 7 years, and for that I am thankful for. It has brought many editors together over the 7 years, and perhaps some of us would have never met otherwise. Along with this, I know that this studio has introduced many people to Danganronpa, which is beyond amazing to know and think.
A HUUUGGEE thanks to all the participants, especially all the backups, who made this MEP possible to be up on time! Couldn't be happier with how it turned out. ❤️️

DespairStudios 2020-07-27 | I'll probably sound like a broken record at this point because I state it every anniversary, but I am so beyond proud of the members of this studio and how hard they've worked over the years on our projects. Despair Studios started out as a way to bring Danganronpa editors together, and I am so beyond happy it has remained that way.

「DS」Disease [6th Anniversary MEP]

DespairStudios 2019-07-26 | I can't believe this studio has been active for 6 whole years, it's honestly crazy to me and makes me so beyond happy. I hope to continue running this studio until the members get sick of me and decide it's time to shut it down haha.
Danganronpa has completely just changed my life and being able to edit along side all of these incredible editors will never not make me appreciative.
Happy 6th Anniversary and hopefully we will celebrate a few more!

A HUGE thanks to all of the replacements who did quick backups for this MEP! About half of this MEP ended up needing to be replaced, and I’m so beyond thankful for the people who stepped up to do parts to help out.
And an even BIGGER thanks to CosmicSOUL who is absolutely the only reason this MEP isn’t late in every time zone lmao. They were kind enough to replace a part TODAY, due to losing/not having contact with the last part needed for the MEP. Honestly just thank you so so much Manu!

Okay so I’m really happy that everyone was so willing to edit with this song for our Halloween choice, because I don’t think we would of ended up getting the chance to edit with this song otherwise, and I’m a sucker for Set it Off. We went for the color palette of blues and purples, to try to somewhat replicate the feeling of drowning from betrayal, and overall the water theme that the music video portrayed.

DespairStudios 2018-08-01 | It's been quite a while since we did a raw MEP last, so I was very excited over this one! Big thanks to Glowen who recommended the execution theme! We set the deadline to 1 week, so I'm very proud how it came out in so little time!

「DS」Love is EVOL [5th Year Anniversary MEP]

DespairStudios 2018-07-26 | It's been a full 5 years since Despair Studios was created, and I couldn't be prouder of where we are today.
5 years ago I created this studio to have a place where I could edit with people who mutually love the same fandom as I do. I never expected to gain as much support as we have now, but it also overjoys me to see that we do have it.
For our 5 year special, we decided to recreate the very first MEP that we ever made, to somewhat compare and show the progress we have made in these 5 years.

「DS」Miss Murder [4 Years Anniversary MEP]

DespairStudios 2017-07-26 | A whole 'nother year on this channel, we have produced 16 MEPs including this one, and we have gained 14,000 new subscribers.
It's really crazy to me to think that it's even possible that 4 years later I'm still running this channel, but I still don't wish to ever stop doing so.
