Her story is one of trauma and self-discovery, yet the conversation around the character, both in the fandom and the show itself, is dominated by a tedious love triangle that refuses to die. Nancy is cornered by the expectations and conventions of the story she finds herself in, and yet there’s this tangible desire to escape it. The question is: will she?
