Warminstrel - Atoms and Hades (Flip) - Live Rig Test Warminstrel 2025-06-20 | Testing new live rig. It consists of a MacBook Pro, a Behringer UMC404HD audio interface, 2 x LPD8s, a Nano Kontrol, a Launchpad, plus a TD-3 and a TB-03. The full set runs for about 2 hours, depending on how I arrange each track, and consists of 27 different tracks. Everything is made up of separate elements, i.e., kicks, snares, bass, synths, vocals, FX, etc., which can all be triggered as and when to make a fresh version each time it's played. This set has taken several years to get to this incarnation. Any questions, please let me know.

Need to do this pretty quickly they are very wayward instruments and if you dont record what your doing that moment you'll probably never get it back again!Will eventualy flesh this out into a cohesive track and add to album.Cheerzen ! x

First patch with the Make Noise 0 Coast. Warminstrel 2025-05-03 | Great little box of tricks. So many ways to tweak and mould audio. Using the Slope section here to make a wobble bass. The sonic pallete afforded by the complex wave folding is immense. Big ups to Elevator Sounds in Stokes Croft, Bristol for getting me this so quickly, would highly recommend, service is impeccable!elevatorsound.com

Insomniac Warminstrel 2025-03-15 | Got bored waiting to see Eat Static tonight so thought I record me recording a track for the new album! At this stage I have made all drum and synth lines using midi being sent from Ableton to the synths you see here plus a few vocal samples and FX.This procerss will render an arangement of the track in another window (you will note that the Ableton session has the master record light on) which can then be further edited and processed. This stage is pretty much the fun bit of the way I write tracks!Let me know in comments if you'd like to see more of the track writing process I've adopted as It really helps with making more live feeling music rather than the stadard copy/paste format.cheerzen, Warren

Warminstrel - Working title: Techno Trance Turnip Warminstrel 2025-02-23 | Work in progress.., working title is : "Trident Techno Trance Turnip"Made it last night in literally 10 mins after showing Mark "Pierrot The Acid Clown" Gardner the Wavetable synth in Ableton and randomly choosing the rave piano patch. Threw bassline, drums, synths, 303s at it with no real plan. Patch on Wavetable is called Trident which inspired the odd title.Recorded on Samsung Galaxy 8 with an iRig.. ;))
Warminstrel - Breathe Warminstrel 2025-02-17 | Nice chilled 97bpm mellow electronic track to make up for the last one which was full of distorted guitars, feedback and lots of shouting about peace.This ones more mellow and has a BBC Sound effect of the Rawandan countryside mixed with some British birdsong running throughout. The lead line comes from a Hydrasynth, the plucky bass is made with a West Pest, low end bass from Ableton Operator Along with Solina Stings and a pad from the Behringer ProVS. Reverb and Delay created "in the box" are stock Ableton along with the amazing Ronin and Valhalla plug ins. Recorded direct to OBS with a Waves L2 on the master track.Posting on a Monday as might help some to relax into the week!

Live Looping Test 1 using Bink Looper Warminstrel 2023-03-18 | Quick test of the Bink Looper by Bink Audio. Awesome free plug in for Live that allows you to set a loop of audio or midi to any number of bars and even set it to delay its start time meaning you can set many loopers off at same time and just play your shit. I'm using it a little differently to other videos I've seen on here as I'm not setting multiple loops off at once. Here I'm using dummy clips that start loops to capture 8, 16 or 32 bars for each instrument then hit the launch when required. Really helps not having to hit the loop button again to play the loop as frees up your hands for more creativity.

Recorded the first proper jam of it last night. Trying to mix and arrange live but still have it sound like a pre arranged tune so its pure dancable. Sample is Crowely so may summon the odd demon or two! 😈 Synths (the Behringer Quartet: Boog, Ms1, K2 and Neutron) are playing same pattern as main 303 and rendered as 64 bar audio loops played underneath live midi going to both the 303's. Can see me adjusting said 303s at end bringing them back to a quiet state ready for next tune.

I'm using an old Dell pc keyboard with most of the buttons removed as a foot switch mapped to Ableton's looper devices on the guitar and bsss. Synth loops recorded and triggered with Launchpad.Next to Launchpad there are 2 Akai LPD8s to trigger stutter edit vst on Drums to create fills and a Nanokontrol for mixing and enabling metronome, midi overdub etc...Tracks1: Drum Rack/Session Drums/Stutter Edit2: Drum Rack/Percussion 3. Jazz Bass/Ableton Amp and Looper5: Strat / Ableton Amp and Looper5.
