🌍 For Earth Day this week, we’re celebrating a milestone in our drive to lower our upfront carbon emissions.

We used calcined clay as a substitute for cement in concrete as part of our Diggers Rest Level Crossing Removal Project.

Cement accounts for around 95% of concrete’s emissions, even though it only makes up around 15% of the mix.

The clay can be sourced abundantly in Australia and produces very little CO2 when it’s calcined, making it a perfect cement alternative that keeps our projects solid while reducing our impact.
